Money is a no object when it comes to the advantage endzone cams give in INHSFB. State finals or bust.
Great point. The programs that want to win championships will spend money to make it happen. The X31 is freaking sweet!

The Hi-Pod X31 comes with a hefty price tag. $4,999 is quite an investment.

I've been told that drones are illegal for use in ihsaa events. I wonder how they could be utilized for practice film though?
-
Moderators, please close this topic as it appears to be irrelevant to high school football technological use. While an interesting novelty, I just don't see pylon cameras being helpful to high school football teams.
-
I wonder how a view from directly above the field of play would be helpful compared to an endzone camera view?
-
This thread is for all things dealing with drones.
So who uses them?
What are the best makes and models?

I think we should save this discussion for it's own thread. I don't want crossover thoughts lost.

The NFL thinks otherwise, at least with regards to pylon cams.

Wow! a 1 in 100,000 chance of getting anything useful surely doesn't warrant an investment in pylon cameras at the high school level. Endzone cameras on the other hand are a home run for the money invested.
Wondering about drones...................

Any injuries that could affect games this week? I've heard some scuttlebutt.
If I had to sail around the world with a WRC coach, I might choose Brad Sanders. He seems like he would be great at hoisting the main sail.

I’ll ask, what good does ANY camera do, If you don’t know what to do with the information the camera captured?
If you don’t know how to block and tackle, or how to teach someone to block and tackle. Then it is useless to have film proving we need to block and tackle better
Just sayin...
Great point. Assuming that blocking and tackling are equal between two teams, at some point technology use comes into play. If both teams have endzone and sideline cameras, but only team A has a pylon camera, team A could win due to that advantage.

I have heard that Admiral Video LLC offers one of the better pylon cameras available.

As someone who spends a lot of time dealing with endzone cameras and hi pods your interest in the issue fascinates me. Talk to me
Have you seen the Hi-Pod X31 roscoeguy? It's incredible. 31(!) feet of extension. Each of the tube collars have stainless steel inserts, which keeps them from stripping. Not to mention the fact that Hudl recommends Hi-Pod for use with their Sideline technology.

I was specifically told to stop doing that. I received a warning point for spamming. I allowed myself to be overwhelmed by my passion for endzone cameras and I paid a hefty price.

I've heard from people in D1 that the two best are made by Electolux and Acme.
Great! I will investigate these brands.

The Kirbys fail. You can't get them out of your house.
Oh my! I think I've just come down with a case of the vapors! SWOONING!

Yes.
If I could pick one WRC coach to sail around the world with, it might be Brian Crabtree. I bet he would be helpful with the rigging.

NV jv beats wolves by 2. 36-34
nv was huge and ran the ball every play. Johnson kid is gonna be real good. They threw it every play. Lol
NV has never been huge when I've had the chance to watch them over the years. Usually always small and quick on the lines.
I heard the Wolfs had low numbers in the Jr high. I hope that isn't the case.

I've been told that if you are evaluating the offensive line the endzone camera is the best view for the task. Similar to sitting and watching a game from behind the endzone I would think.

Bob Springer. Solid choice indeed.

Do Officiating Crews ever purchase endzone cameras to evaluate their crew's performance?

I've heard that Hi-Pod has a pretty good product.

Parke Heritage 63, North Central 12
North Vermillion 31, Covington 13
Seeger 26, Attica 24 (regardless of score, I think this will be the closest contest in the last 10 years between these 2 rivals)
South Vermillion 41, Riverton Parke 20
Eastern Hancock 35, Fountain Central 14
If you had to sail around the world with a WRC coach who would it be? Herb?

How does Attica stay so competitive with such low numbers?
Attica is the most underrated football program in the WRC. They win 8-9 games most every year. They've played in several sectional championship games, losing to some pretty good teams. They squeeze every drop out of it over there.
But if you had to sail around the world with one WRC coach who would it be? Ryan Good?

We should probably find a new person to start the weekly WRC discussion since who knows how long it will take my posts to "approved".
Just in case they decide to randomly ban me for no reason, I'll close with this. Long live Brian Moore and Herb King, long live Great Wolfs Lodge, and long live the best small school football conference in the state of Indiana. May the Wabash River never stop flowing through God's country.
