Reading 28 athletes 4 coaches from catholic school(s) have been quarantined for contact tracing for next two weeks. I’m assuming MD and Memorial football still playing their games tomorrow night??
From the Evansville Courier & Press
" Although it did not say which school the cases come from, a school official at North High School did inform the Courier & Press its volleyball match against Memorial scheduled for Thursday was canceled. The Castle High School Athletics Twitter account also posted at noon that its match against Memorial scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 22 was canceled."
So it looks like the Volleyball team is the team with 4 coaches out.

Class of 21 from Castle South went undefeated both years of middle school. They were only challenged in one game their 7th grade year. In 8th grade, they were a highlight reel and were never challenged. Their freshman year after joining the middle schools together, some suspect personnel decisions and brutal coaching resulted in them losing two games. Some of the best kids from that group are no longer at Castle or no longer play football.
The Class of 21 from Castle South lost two games as freshman after going undefeated like you said. One fact you left out is that the two teams they lost to as freshmen were Central and Mater Dei. They did not play those two teams when they were in 7th or 8th grade. Maybe the two games they lost were the result of playing Central and Mater Dei instead of Washington and Princeton?

At the ripe old age of 25 I think I have written maybe 5 checks total in my life and only mailed 1 which was the earnest money to buy my house lol
I guess you can say that donating to the grid is as important to me as buying a house because it’s the only time I’m going to mail a check 😂
stay tuned. I’ll get something sent over soon
Just found out that there is Venmo this year as an option.

Hate to take the discussion away from the top of the PAC but does anyone know the best way to get tickets for Washington and PC Friday? I assume no sales at the gate.
This is the only thing I found for tickets for that game.
PC vs. Washington @WashingtonPlayers will be coming home this evening with their form for purchasing tickets. We have a 200 person limit at Washington and tickets are available by pre-sale only.Any remaining tickets will be sold to the public on Friday.-

Just seen that Southridge is not pre selling tickets and they will be selling at full capacity it seems at the gate.
2000 bleacher tickets and standing room only after that.
Not sure I agree with this, but I’m sure it’s going to be a packed house come Friday
If they are only selling 2000 bleacher tickets then they are not selling anywhere close to full capacity. The new home stands hold around 1900 people. They there are stands at the south end of the field that seat 200 to 250. I don't now how many the visitors side holds but they were the former home side stands so they are bigger than most visitors stands in the conference. I would say that at 2000 bleacher tickets it is about 50% capacity.

It's based on low numbers. The middle schools have always played a schedule with Big 8 schools and 2 Evansville schools.
How many kids are playing for the combined Castle Middle Schools team this year?

This year they only have 1 middle school 7th grade team and 1 8th grade team.
Did the conference changes have anything to do with this change? At the middle school level both Castle North and South used to play in a conference with all the Big 8 schools except Mt. Carmel.

Will there be a big school all PAC team and a small school all PAC team?

What schools other than Castle routinely have Middle School, Freshmen and JV programs go at or near undefeated, then go .500 as a varsity program? All the other schools must really hit on all cylinders their varsity years . . . Might suggest it’s a bit deeper than be and flow.
That is not really what happens to Castle. Over the last 26 years they have had 15 seasons with at least 8 wins. 20 winning records, one season of a .500 record and 5 less that .500

@TigerFan20, I'm not sure why but I agree. Jasper is a solid team, but Mater Dei might keep it close if they can score (only 3 TDs all year).
In other topics, Jasper's schedule is very end-heavy with their least tough opponent after Week 5 (according to the computers), Vincennes, a long-standing rival where records go out the window. On the other side, Memorial was very top heavy.
Also, Jasper and Mater Dei have so much tradition, but when's the last time they played? I know they were in the "old" SIAC, but going back to 1970 I don't see a Jasper-Mater Dei matchup.
For those of us who haven't purchased @Rudy's books (haven't had time, will ask for some for Christmas this year). Where was Rex Mundi located in Evansville and what school(s) did it dissolve into and why?
Jasper and Mater Dei last played in the sectional in 1995. Jasper won 27-19.

Start of the 4th quarter.
This is a great game. If Boonville could clean up all their flags on the offensive side of the ball they would be very hard to stop.
