It is you attempting to move the goalposts and lambast insurance companies and not the federal government entitlements like medicare and medicaid.
Because the insurance companies are somehow good?

So now you conveniently move from the patient to the insurance company, and by extension government.
Again with your language games. Did Mr. Beal also teach you English?

Muda you are either illiterate, obtuse, or both.

So a sick person is automatically a parasite?
Language isn't your thing, is it?
3 minutes ago, Muda69 said:Please better define what a "parasite" is in the context of the healthcare industry.
A person as a subcontractor or a moneychanger who sustains themselves off of sick people. Pharisees in the temple of health.

You mean primarily patient's insurance companies, or the government.
Which is still getting the money from sick people, but the result is the same: parasites in the healthcare industry.
Medicine never got rid of the leeches from the old days; they just morphed into humans.

It came from suffering people.

IU Health had $862M revenue surplus in 2021
In business, that's called a profit.
P (Profit) = R (Revenue) - E (Expenses) The best truth in business.......
So IU Health scalped sick people?

Things that make you go "hmmmmmmm".
Sounds like the pandemic has been very, very good to IU Health.
Or, maybe for-profit healthcare doesn't work?

Classical charter school with ties to conservative college makes plans for Carmel location

Good for Carmel and Hamilton County. More school choice is always better.
I live close to one of those in Vegas. Haven't heard much good about it.

Cost savings are never "passed on" to the consumers.

There are other issues not mentioned. If a school is getting a certain percentage of free and reduced meals, they cannot sell what is classified as “junk food”. The other possible issue is that the school may have a contract with a vendor, so only drinks and snacks from that vendor can be sold on school grounds. My guess is it’s the former that is the issue.
It's also the issue that the money the students are spending might not be theirs. Eons ago I worked as a substitute teacher, and during a week-long stint in a 2nd Grade classroom one of the students brought a $100 bill to school. She was going to use it to buy stickers.

So for you all private/parochial/charter schools should be forced to accept a quota system for admissions, where a certain percentage of the student body needs to be a racial minority. Is that correct?

Look like 11.2% of the parents in Nevada/Clark County are segregationists and need to be punished by the state for not believing the government schools are the best and only real educational option for their children.
And instead of addressing the criticism, you give me this nonsense.

So those parents who choose to send their children to a non-government school are practicing segregation. Got it.
Let's look at the demographics in Nevada-

You're being outraged about school choice? Yeah, we get that.
Allow me to clarify, using your own source-
Schools of quality don't want "low-income" students, because those students aren't students of quality. All "school choice" does is produce a sorting mechanism to allow segregation to return.

Are you outraged about it?
It's a natural outcome of school choice.
