    High-Quality 'Public' Schools Don't Want Low-Income Students

Have there been statistics released since Indiana went to an open enrollment system of exactly how many students state-wide are now attending a government school that is not their geographically-assigned one?  And are the government schools that accept transfers compiling reports of who these students are and from what government school districts they are coming from?

    Could provide interesting information.

I know from first-hand experience that this is a thing in Arizona.

No one in Washington is going to held responsible for those “solutions”, no one in Indianapolis, no one in Carson City is going to be held responsible for those “solutions”, but local school boards could be held accountable.

You have to remember that school boards are political subdivisions of a State- they have the powers that are given to them by the State government.

Even then, local government may try to circumvent State authority-

Have you ever taught in the inner city of Las Vegas?

add the word perceived in front of inadequacy and misgivings.

I want to ask you what your thoughts are on this situation:

A child was ordered to move seats in math class, because the child was disturbing a classmate. The child's mother (who volunteers at the school and is therefore given more leeway than most parents) comes in the next morning, is let past security, and barges in to the math teacher's classroom before morning classes to berate the teacher for the action.

Is that acceptable behavior from a parent?

And why shouldn't parents have some control over their children's education?

Because their kids will do nothing wrong.

Parents should have the MOST say in their child's education.  The one's that do, their children are usually excelling b/c the parents are supportively active.

Yeah, but those aren't the ones trying to run the school.
