Ah, yes. “Kansas” Is now speaking on behalf of the nation, lol.
Yes it does, particularly for these culture war issues. KS-GOP put abortion on the ballot; the KS-GOP lost.

That way we can sit through six games in sub-freezing weather on hard bleachers with inadequate restrooms and wait in long lines at concession stands.
You'd only be sitting through one game. Each class had its own playing site.
Speaking of that, if the State Championship game is still to be played in Indianapolis, no more than three classes should be able to use a site.

In my opinion, State Championship games should be hosted at one of the participant schools, just like it was before 1977.

Typical that a socialist like yourself supports government subsidies and heavy regulation in most if not all industries.
Just in our important industries.
1 hour ago, Muda69 said:So you also believer the current wave of inflation was caused by Mr. Reagan ending subsidies?
Yes, ultimately.

Something the free and open market could provide as well.
But they didn't. And they don't unless they are made to.
And we saw what happens when the FrEe aNd oPeN MaRkEt controls electricity prices-

As a remedy for the Great Depression, the TVA didn’t work.
Yes it did. Tennessee and rural America got electricity.

And when Mr. Reagan ended those subsidies, as he rightly should have, they quickly faded away.
Looks like everyone's favorite Tory really did gut America.
Hey @swordfish and @Impartial_Observer you got what you voted for. Enjoy your inflation.

Has there ever been a federal government program that delivered as promised?
Tennessee Valley Authority
NASA
WPA
National Parks Service
USPS before 2006
etc.

Apparently a practice you applaud because it means more government regulation and interference in the market.
tHe mArKeT isn't going to change the fact that those boats can't get through the Panama Canal and reach the Eastern Seaboard. Getting rid of the Jones Act will not do anything at all for shipping costs.

Yes, it is. There is one civilian shipbuilder in the USA. What nation abandons their own industries?

We have railroads to move goods cheaply in the USA.

An important and eye-opening read.
An ignorant read.
What use would it be to transport goods between US ports on boats? The biggest ocean-going vessels can't go through the Panama Canal.
This is what plies the ocean today-

QuoteRecently delivered to the French shipping line CMA-CGM, the ship is nearly 400 metres long and 53 metres wide and has the capacity of nearly 18,000 containers.
It can't go anywhere other than San Pedro!

Nothing further to contribute.....
Okay, so take it from someone with lived experience and something to contribute: our supply chain problems are caused by the terminal companies and the steamship lines.

The truckers are planning to keep cutting off access to the third-busiest port on the West Coast until Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom agrees to sit down and hear their qualms with AB5, the controversial gig worker bill that’s expected to go into effect later this year.
Paid protestors.
Better part of the article:
QuoteThe International Brotherhood of Teamsters, which is hoping to unionize truck drivers in California, say trucking companies have misclassified drivers for years, and this law would increase wages and benefits.
