  1. 25 to 30 kids! That would be great!
  2. Just curious and you may not know, how do your offensive stats of your fullbacks compare to the stats of the running backs in the conference? It's tough when you are dividing your carries between all 4 backs in the backfield, no one has great stats compared to that one kid that gets the bulk of them.
  3. It's not self explainatory at all. I have seen the IHSAA make various decisions on limited eligibility and not all make sense. I know a kid that went from starting point guard at Loogootee to Orleans with limited eligibility until the last game before the sectional, then back to Loogootee for his senior year with full eligiblity. But as referenced above, some kids can transfer public to private and play immediately. There are a lot of middle ground when it comes to these situations. I was looking for someone who has experienced them. So calm down. Say a Hail Mary or whatever you need to do to relax. Feel free to call or email me for more information on myself. There is no need to scan my bio. Jeremy Reynolds 812-936-3063 jreynolds@cccs.k12.in.us
  4. Please use your private school education to explain to me how I am wrong here. Slowly please because public school education prohibits me from comprehending what I am reading. Pictures would be appreciated.
  5. Im not sure what your issue is. I'm asking a seperate question all together. Wasn't directed at you. Had it been directed at you, I would have quoted one of your elitist comments or messaged you directly. So, if anyone else who has any experience on how the IHSSA handles public to private transfers, I would like to know. Thanks. Also, that is exactly how open enrollment works. The IHSAA has a sense of humor about it too. They once granted a senior we had that transferred during the summer from Paoli to Springs Valley limited eligibility until the day of the baseball sectional championship.
  6. People keep bringing up open enrollment like it makes public and private schools equal. I know if I played at my local school as a sophomore and transfer to a school 20 miles away without relocating, the IHSAA will probably grant me limited eligibility for my junior year. If I play my sophomore year at Tecumseh Central then enroll at Evansville Memorial for my junior year, will I receive limited eligibility or does the IHSAA look at Public to Private transfers differently?
  7. I apologize. You're right. MaxPreps doesn't list the JV and Freshman teams of Chatard so I don't exactly know. I assumed numbers for the freshman class were similar to the other 3. I was wrong. Chatard won't be able to field a team in 2 years because they have no one coming up the pipe.
  8. You're right. When counting participation, all the student athletes that participate should not be counted. Not sure what I was thinking.
  9. No, not at all. But reporting it incorrectly is.
  10. I can understand well enough to know that you're trying to use numbers to make a point but leaving out important facts that would make your argument invalid. It's a tactic used by politicians daily. Thankfully for the rest of us I called you out on in before the charade could continue.
  11. You gave a roster and total enrollment implying that was all the kids playing. I bet New Palestine has more than 5 freshmen in their program. And if they do, those have to be taken into consideration when comparing percentage of kids playing in the building like Heritage Hills.
  12. but your raw data is skewed because the 700 boys and girls are for grades 9-12. Danville's 58 kids are 9-12. So you're leaving out a pretty important part of your raw data.
  13. Not an expert on Chatard but MaxPreps lists 80 Senior through Sophomores. If we assume similar numbers in the freshman class that's 106 kids. And if half of those 700 kids are male, that's 30% of all boys playing football.
  14. I feel like many of the arguments in this thread are one sided. "We have to play private schools with more advantages." The reply is, "The world isn't' fair." "We got bumped up and have to play in a bigger class." Shouldn't the reply, "The world isn't fair" apply here too?
  15. I feel like the greater the advantage lies in the smaller classes. It's apparent when there 3 private school state champions in Classes 1A through 4A. Most of the smaller schools lie in rural areas where, yes open enrollment exists but schools are spaced out enough that you just get the kids that are in your boundaries. Private schools typically have more money, more coaches, more players than a public school of equal classification.
  16. Crawford County High School
  17. Coach Bowsman's nephews, Mack and Mox Lowe, have the lights on at the football field and baseball field at Springs Valley.
  18. Forest Park High School
  19. I just received this email from my good friend Jason Lowe. Coach Lowe is an assistant at Springs Valley and brother in law of Coach Bowsman. Hopefully this can spread through the state. Good morning Coaches. As many of you know, West Washington's head football coach/AD Phillip Bowsman passed away yesterday afternoon. Phillip was a great man, an extraordinary leader, and the best brother-in-law I could ask for. Springs Valley will be honoring Phillip by turning on our football field lights friday morning and leaving them on until Phillip's funeral services conclude Saturday. I've yet to meet anyone that loved Friday Night Lights as much as Phillip and his family. I'm inviting you to honor Phillip in the same way but also asking you to forward on to other schools/football programs in our area that I do not have contacts for. Let me know if you have any questions. Jason Lowe
  20. I remember that one well. EG dominated the second half. Fun game to watch when you don't really care who wins. Just like tonight was.
  21. should have taken the money line
  22. Going to wager all the cheesy potatoes I am about to eat that WW wins by 2 TDs. However the French Lick Resort has opened a new hotel since I began betting on games.
