  1. I must not have gotten that memo. It's a staple of mine.
  2. Yep, not a sport for sissies in short shorts.
  3. Wrestling is the only sport I know where a guy who weighs 285 can score more points than anyone else on the team for the season. As a sophomore.
  4. I can guarantee you we've never been on a boy's volleyball team. I don't think I could fit into those little shorts anyway.
  5. He already did. Current Booster.
  6. I always thought Life was the classiest of all with that fancy plastic spinner.
  7. Exactly. It would also prevent those schools from the need to contract their football programs.
  8. All of the other proposals in the thread are just going to move the problem down to different teams at the lower level. My solution eliminates that.
  9. No thanks. Just offering an alternative solution for discussion.
  10. Why not put these 8 teams in their own division then? We could call it 6B.
  11. The KKK and other hate groups use of the name and symbols was the reason for the name change. "That decision came after a decades-long debate that has recently intensified because groups such as the Ku Klux Klan began using the words and symbols of the Crusades, which were a series of bloody religious wars starting in the 11th century between Christians and Muslims. For years, Valpo's sports mascot had been a helmeted figure in faux armor. But the school's faculty and student senates each passed resolutions calling for a change and the university's alumni board of directors supported reassessing the team name's appropriateness." https://abc7chicago.com/valparaiso-beacons-crusader-valpo/10944585/
  12. That depends on how many alumni are fans, supporters or members of the KKK.
  13. In this case, yes. Besides Rokita, at least 1 other mentioned on this thread included. Dannster. Go Beacons!
  14. There are Zero enrollment based classes in Indiana high school wrestling Danny. I'm fine with going back to that in football and basketball.
  15. That is substance. Everybody wants a trophy, give 'em one. That's the way sports are heading. Participation awards.
  16. I heard it was purchased by the owner of 10 West.
  17. It appears that Rokita's view on education aligns with yours per your earlier post. I guess he's a Fundamental Christian Libertarian? Either way, whack jobs.
  18. Thanks DT. Very informative interviews.
  19. No. To the best of my knowledge, I have never voted for a Libertarian either.
  20. Mainly a whack job.
  21. And hometown of Ted Huber, Indiana Hall of Fame player, coach, former IFCA president. He was also my World History teacher in 1971.
