  1. Heritage Hills is returning 90% of their offense and 8 starters on defense. I think the motivation will be high next season. The unforeseen but valuable lessons learned by having to play a ton of sophomores will help next year. Big school division will have the favorite role in Gibson County, they very well could represent the south in LOS!! I honestly feel the sleeper is Mt. Vernon. Kids are believing in, and buying in to there philosophy. Good young head coach and very talented D coordinator. HH will be right there as well! They could surprise next season for sure!! Booneville???? Who knows. I think they have some great young talent coming up but will they be varsity ready?? Time will tell. Princeton will have a typical Princeton season, sorry. Small school division will go through Dubois County next season, but no the school we are used to seeing on top!! I think FP finds a way next season to win this division!! SR will be re-building unfortunately, but man what a ride they have taken us on these last few years!! TC will be way down! No more Coach Lombardi talk from Perry county. North Posey will be stronger. The winner of the FP vs NP game will be the champ!! Pike is Pike, take that as you want. Wild card in this division is SS! They have some good sophomores that will be juniors. They also will return some key players. Question is will they buy in and believe they can win instead of just compete!!
  2. Isn't Brebeuf in 3A or am I wrong?? 6A Center Grove over Merrillville 5A Cathedral over Mishawaka 4A Chatard over Marion 3A Gibson Southern over Mishawaka Marion 2A Evansville Mater Dei over Andrean 1A Lutheran over LCC
  3. Max Preps is on the internet so it has to be true................and honest.
  4. Anomaly, outlier, something strange in the water........whatever 2018 was. ALSO 2010 5 classes 3 P/P champions 2011 5 classes 4 P/P 2012 5 classes 4 P/P 2013 5 classes 4 P/P From 2010-2013 only 5 classes!!! 2014 6 classes 3 P/P 2015 6 classes 2 P/P 2016 6 classes 3 P/P 2017 6 classes 3 P/P Champions 8 previous years! If my math skills are on point in these 8 years 26 of the possible 40 chance were won by P/P schools! That's 65%! I stand by my comments that the reality shouldn't be P/P schools dominating their respective classes year in and year out! (Chatard) to field a team of 107 players (Max Preps stat) Obviously you missed this piece of info, that I actually used Max Preps as a source!!!
  5. Sorry if I unintentionally made this a private vs public school thing and I apologize. But to be clear I was in no way insinuating that HH complained about playing Chatard last year. Fact is, at one time there was a pretty good tournament rivalry that HH and Chatard had, although it was pretty one sided, but no matter who won the game it was always a sloberknocker!! In my earlier post my intention was to draw a comparison to this: why is it okay and acceptable for PP school (Chatard) to field a team of 107 players (Max Preps stat) against a HH team of 50 (again Max Preps stat). It would seem that in every class 1A-5A the PP schools usually have a far larger team by the numbers. The advantage here is quite obvious, there are minimal two way players, and possibly even a completely separate special teams roster for the PP school, while in this particular comparison HH had 9-10 kids never ever leave the field. War of attrition is usually won by the team with greater numbers. I do not seem to think it outrageous or ignorant to say that the PP schools should have their own tournament. Maybe the Oldenbergs and Trader's Points wouldn't stand a chance against the big boys. Do you think a Tecumseh, or Pike Central would ever stand a chance against Covenant Christian or Chatard??? I think we all know the answer is a resounding NO!! That's life, and sometimes it's hard and it sucks, but it's reality. The reality should be this: that five classes of football shouldn't be dominated year in and year out by PP schools, but instead have one PP school champion and 6 other public school class champions!
  6. My my my did someone have a bad day or what?? So it's pretty ignorant for a public school, let's say Heritage Hills, to have a complaint having to play a PP school like Chatard in LOS last year. I think the football rosters were something like HH 50 kids, Chatard 110 kids. That's the same kind of disadvantage you allude to in your ignorant response above mentioning Oldenburg Academy, Providence and anyone else playing Cathederal or whoever. If I may......you are saying it's okay for public schools to compete with this obvious disadvantage of being outsized and outnumbered, but by golly no way a PP school, especially a smaller one at that, should have to play against a bigger and better roster. C'mon man!!!
  7. Simple solution. Add a class to the IHSAA, 7A is nothing but PP schools and let them duke it out!! See problem solved! It's that simple.
  8. Does this mean they also play with under inflated footballs, tape practice sessions of their opponents, bend the rules slightly although often unnoticed and have a principal (team owner) who likes massages at questionable establishments too?????? If so Trojans 49 Danville 7 😅
  9. Yea that one is just as ridiculous but in the opposite direction!!! Ahh yes!! Chatard wins in a dogfight!!
  10. Yeah I definitely think that they need to switch Princeton and HH in that deal. That's my vote....Princeton to 32 and HH to 30. Let's make it happen!!!
  11. I think Chatard wins this game, but it will be a physical one for sure. 3A can breathe a sigh of relief knowing that Chatard will be gone for at least a couple years, maybe more! Next will be re-alignment for the 3A tournament and Danville we go back north. The south will be Tri-West and a PAC school in the semi state next year and so on and so on. (notice I didn't say which PAC school) I also think that there will be 5 P/P schools that win the state title this year. What a shame.......Surely I jest!!
  12. Agree 100%, his arm will definitely be important in this one, and that could just be one or two big hitters that keeps Danville honest. Last year HH use size and strength to push Danville around, this year SR will use speed, and constant misdirection against Danville!! Gonna be a good one.
  13. You know I couldn't say anything bad about our QB ha, with that said I was simply meaning statistically they are comparable except for the TDs. Also would like to add that the QB for SR could be the X factor Friday. He is a LB that plays the QB position. It is my opinion that he could simply "will' this team to victory with his tenacity and tough play. One helluva a leader!! I believe that this was especially evident last week. One team looked amazingly comfortable running up and down the field, while the other simply looked lost at times.
  14. I think when you look at this team, SR, THREE 1000 yard rusher does not make them one dimensional, it makes them very diverse in the running game. To compare if I could to last year: HH had two 1000 yard rushers a handful of others that rushed for 250-700, and a QB that threw it very similar to the SR QB (# of TDs are quite different) HH handled Danville because they did what they did, ran the ball and played solid defense. SR has an additional 1000 yard guy. My thoughts are this, run the ball, play solid defense and the outcome very well could be the same, a trip to LOS.
