CoachNolting
Dawson Basinger (North Central Farmersburg) has committed to Indiana State University. He was a great young man to coach for the past 4 years and the last of 3 tremendous brothers that played at North Central. Dawson became North Centrals all time rushing leader this season replacing former Thunderbird record holder Chase VanSchoyck. Best of luck to Dawson! Congrats! Guest DT
A few quick questions regarding the GC program? What are the primary components of the overall strategy to get this program up off the mat and heading back in the right direction? Is there any football talent currently in the school? Is program awareness in the halls growing as a result of the coaching change? Have you had an opportunity to assess the feeder and youth systems? Will you be making any changes to the uniforms? What are your initial goals for the program? Is the community involved? Is the administration following thru on the commitments they made to support the program rebuild? Is GC planning on remaining in the HHC for the long term? What was it that drew you to this opportunity? Looking forward to your responses. Miner_Pride
Congrats to Dawson. I recall calling a Linton NC game when he was a freshman, and thinking he might the best of the Basinger brothers I had seen through the years. Linton didn't play NC his Junior and Senior year... but he put up some big numbers and helped take NC to new heights. As always.. I am pretty happy to see a 1A kid get state wide respect. I hope he can make some noise at ISU.
