Speedhawk’s forecast, bold and bright,
Lawrenceburg Tigers will win this fight.
Against the Yellowjackets’ sting and bite,
At Connie' surely it'll be, pure delight.

In the clash beneath the Friday night,
The Tigers’ strength will take the height.
Mark this down, as fans ignite,
The Tigers’ victory is in sight.

In the clash of orange and yellow hue,
The Tigers’ roar will break on through.
This week, the new scoreboard’s bound to show,
The Tigers’ triumph in their glow.

People in Tigerland will celebrate at home

because yet another year will end at the dome.

Led by the new guy, another Gilmour

I got the tigers by at least 4.

WEEK 2 in the EIAC, most schools still playing out of conference competition. Lets dive in!

East Central @ Harrison

Battle of I-74... East Central was up 14-0 last week at halftime against the Tigers. Then they managed to pull away for the W to extend their winning streak from last year's state run. Could it end this Friday night? I don't believe so. I'm interest to see how next week will go for the Trojans since Moeller took the L last season.

(EC: 21   Harrison: 17)

Taylor @ Lawrenceburg

Lawrenceburg gave EC a decent game for the most part last Friday night. Don't know a thing about Taylor. Lawrenceburg will get better as the year goes. They take the W tonight

(L-burg: 28    Taylor: 20)

Batesville @ Milan

Batesville heads to Milan tonight as Milan plays the EIAC part of their schedule. They beat Rushville convincedly last Friday. The same won't happen this evening. The bulldogs are a good team and will bully Milan in the trenches.

(Bulldogs: 38   Milan: 14)

South Dearborn @ Madison

The knights new offense put up 42 points last week. Madison isn't a very good football team so the knights will feel good about themselves again about the game tonight. Knights roll big

(SD: 48   Madison: 10)

Greensburg @ Greenfield Central

Will be a ugly game for the Pirates...

(GC: 55   Pirates: 13)

Connersville @ Franklin County

This was a close game last year, I don't think that will be the case this evening. Chicken and Jojos should have a decent team this year if everyone stays healthy. Cats win big

(FC: 48   C'ville: 14)

Shelbyville @ Rushville

Closest game of the week for the EIAC. I'll give Rushville the nod after they got thumped by Milan last week.

(Lions: 24    Bears: 21)

Shew...I've been so busy marking my territory on all the new additions to the Dog Pound, that I haven't had time to even look at the Grid!! Welcome back!

What an exciting time to be a Bulldog! This team is the real deal! Everyone in Casket Nation knows that 2025 is THE class of a lifetime. Maybe the best Bulldog team to ever step on a football field in Casket Town. Those Dogs went 11-2 as Juniors (only two losses against 4A State Champ and 3A State Runner Up) and they didn't lose anyone significant, who can't easily be replaced. This year they will be 15-0 when they walk out of the Oil Can with those State Champion medals around their necks. Yes, that means knocking off mighty EC in pursuit of their dream season!!! No one else will even come close. Big 20 going down put a chink in the armor, but they are so deep it won't matter. All they have to do is show up and collect the hardware.

I hear the boys in the burg weren't too happy about those "Sectional Champion" posters hanging in Connie's. Just wait until there's a 6×6 one hanging from that new jumbotron! 😂

Gonna be a great year, glad football season is upon us!

Dogs by 30+ against Wigwam Nation.

Trojans fall to Harrison in the Battle Of 74 and the army travels back to St Leon in shock and disbelief.

KFI Mardi Gras Invader Taco Truck etc etc wins their second preseason game of the year.

Stinktown edges one out in a low scoring game.

Flatbill Timberlakes continue the tradition...of losing.

Hondaturd...not worth talking about.

Chicken and Jo Jo's over Connertucky, but not by much.

Ope...new light pole going up in the parking lot, gotta go!!!

Hoping someone here can help me out.

I’m trying to do a better job of following the high school football in all areas of the state. Who/What is the best source to follow Indiana high school football in this area of the state? Is there a specific newspaper or tv station reporter I should follow who tweets about, writes articles about, or does news broadcasts about the football taking place here?
