Was kind of hoping they would keep Cass at #1 after taking their first loss to a spectacular WL team. Pioneer's only loss is to Cass in week one, and Webo's only loss is to a team Cass beat by a couple touchdowns. At the end of the day, everyone makes it on Selection Sunday and I can't wait for late October and November football!

I am wondering in 3A why last week Chatard and WL were tied at the top of the polls, and this week WL is dropped a spot to #2??  I mean WL beat #1 in 2A and gets penalized for by a few voters??!!

And my Miners keep climbing. Far cry from last year. Cant wait till Sectionals!

I can not speak for the voters, but it may not have anything to do with WL and more to do with Chatard's win this past weekend. I am not saying Chatard is better, rather just offering an opinion to your question

Played a school from Ill. correct??  Was the school they played a highly ranked team from there???  I saw Chatard beat the biscuit out of them!!

My understanding is that they were maybe ranked 7ish in class 6 (out of 8 classes). Not sure how that equates to Indiana's classes. Tough game for them after driving like 3 hours.

Normal West was #9 in Illinois Class 6A last week.  Their enrollment listed as 1646.5 in classification alignment.  No idea as to the strength of that class in Illinois.  Some of the schools seem to be in central Illinois larger city area and others Chicago area.

I have some buddies that I play with from Illinois, and from what I have gathered from them I would assume it equates to a big 4A small 5A Indiana school probably.
