Bishop Dullaghan Middle School Camp Dates

PLEASE NOTE:  Dates have been set for our two BISHOP DULLAGHAN MIDDLE SCHOOL CAMP Sessions this summer for kids entering grades 5 thru 8.  

Session 1 - June 22-23-24-25 at University of Indianapolis - 9 opportunities over 4 days and 3 nights.

Session 2 - July 13-14-15 at University of Indianapolis - 8 opportunities over 3 days and 2 nights.

NOTE:  This is SKILLS Camp and is designed to work on offensive and defensive position drills with some 7 on 7 competition at the end of camp.  This Camp is staffed by high school and college coaches.

Does anyone know if Bishop-Dullaghan camps use endzone cameras to film the scrimmage portion of their practices? It seems like it would be a very useful teaching tool to be able to show the kids. It would also fill some of the down time between practices.

TJ..............thanks for the post and appreciate the suggestion.  We have not filmed  practices in the past, and at this time we don't have plans to do so this year.  We do however watch films after the kids go to lunch on two of the days.  Typically they are watching our BD Camp position videos or the coordinator of the offensive or defensive position will often show their high school or college practice or game videos to emphasize a technique or situation that's being taught on the field or will be taught in an upcoming opportunity.  With 9 opportunities over 3.5 days and meetings between practices and in the evenings, there isn't much downtime for the kids.  Thanks again for the suggestion.

Our Middle School Camp does include OLine and DLine position drills and techniques for all the opportunities.  The Middle School Camps cover all positions on both sides of the ball.  The Bishop Dullaghan High School Camp does have a skills/lineman camp for high school kids as well.  Thanks for inquiring!!

Reminder that space at our two Middle School Camps is limited this year as we are NOT holding a camp at DePauw this year due to dorm renovations.  We’ve had great response so far for the two camps scheduled at UIndy.  Just a reminder the dates are as follows:

CAMP UPDATE:

As one might expect, the decision was made to cancel all Bishop Dullaghan Camps this summer.  This is the first time since 1974 that Camps will not be held.  For the players, parents, coaches, staff and supporters over the years we thank you for your patronage and we look forward to the Summer of 2021.  Everyone stay healthy and safe and we have our fingers crossed that the season will go off as planed and kids of all ages will get to experience the greatest game on the planet!
