You are entitled to the “monopoly” because you are the exclusive owner of the product. It’s the IHSAA’s tournament. They take the risk, they’re entitled to a reasonable return on their investment. The IHSAA's claimed monopoly greatly risks quality of coverage due to its lack of competition. The arrangement works well for broadcasting (generally), but the broadcasting arm could potentially ruin relationships with other media entities -- something to watch as traditional media outlets go by the wayside... ragdoll Posted December 7, 2022 Share Posted December 7, 2022 Early in the season, a much beloved friend who was a mentor to many men passed on. He had sold his business 25 years prior and devoted his life to helping other men in business and life. Afterwards, one man in devotion stated that most men don't "finish well" in life, but that our friend had indeed finished well and that was such a great testament of who he was.
