I’d be very hesitant to attempt to extrapolate the % of CTE cases found in the brains studied to the League as a whole. There’s a very obvious selection bias that precludes that.

Oh yeah, I don't think this rule affects any players whose professional rights are owned, but the eligibility clock starting at the earlier of high school graduation or a 19th birthday will certainly squeeze the many programs that rely on fielding an older roster to compete with the few programs. For example, Michigan has 11 players aged 20 or younger, while Notre Dame has 3. Ferris State has 6 players under 22.

Yeah I’m in that area at least once a month. The growth over the last 10-20 years has been noticeable.

Division 1 hockey coaches are losing their minds over this.

About 6% of individuals diagnosed with CTE also have ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease), which was what killed McMichael. By comparison, the incidence of ALS in the general population is about one thousandth of that.

If NV would've moved on from Crabtree sooner they could've landed King. They waited too long and missed out on that opportunity though.
