I think Warsaw takes out Elkhart , NP beats Lowell and i just don't have a clue about Penn vs Carroll . I think the edge goes to Carroll , but we really don't know how good the top teams are in Fort Wayne . It appears Snider , Carroll and northside are all pretty even , but how good are they? It's very hard to get a read since all of their games are in the SAC . We've seen Penn play one of Indiana's best teams , And I can get a feel for where they are at . Penn is improved from last year and appear to be heading in the right direction. Still not there yet , Is Carroll ?Time will tell .

I too was at that game . It wasn't a near win for Penn but it was a very competitive game . 21-16 well into the 4th quarter before CG tacked on another score . The better team won , but it was a good game.

Another example of Indy Bias . Below are some bad losses that Fishers High School took in the last 5 years . 50-7 41-13 43-0 31-7 33-0 42-17 42-14 42-13 39-21 34-0 Have you ever heard anyone from the Indy area say Fishers will never win another title or that Fishers can't compete with the Indy big boys?

Everyone always says Indy has dominated . Not True . There are a hand full of teams in the greater Indy metro area that are good every year .The other 100 Indy area schools get their butt kicked year in and year out , but you rarely hear anything about those losses . It's only when a team from the north loses that you hear the bias . If your referring to the State Title game , then yes a team in the Indy metro area has dominated.

I'll give you an example of the typical Indy area fans bias . Penn loses to Cathedral by 14 this year. (Indy fan)Penn will never win another state title and can't compete . I thought the game was very competitive . Center Grove loses to Cathedral by 11 .(Indy fan) I pick Center grove to avenge the loss and win state . Boy that 3 points really changes things .

Carroll certainly looks for real and might be better than any 6A team in the north . Whether they can hang with the 6A Indy powerhouses remains to be seen . I look at this game tonight as a win for me regardless of the outcome . If Penn wins , great they move on , if they lose they will get their guys earlier than expected for my favorite sport(Wrestling).

Agreed , I actually think Penn will need to score 28-31 to win , and this is the problem because Carroll has a stingy defense as well

Think this happens a lot . It happened to us in 1995,2005,2006,2010 and 2011.

Yes, Carroll averaging 41 PPG , and Penn Defense is giving up an average of 13 PPG .

True Statement. Penn has been down for the last 4-5 years . This years team is better than the last few, anchored by the defense . If Penn doesn't give up a huge bomb with 5 seconds remaining in the first half , they would of been leading Cathedral at the half . I know woulda shoulda coulda , just saying . I have no clue how good Carroll/Snider are this year . Penn has played some good teams this year in Cathedral,St X, Elkhart and New Prairie . All things considered , I still give the edge to Carroll in this one, I hope I'm wrong .

Well Snider of course . We did play Snider in the regular season for a few years11,12,13 and14 , don't know what happened after that .

Don't think Penn will ever give up that first game with Valpo , been that way for 20 years . As for other non conference games ,With the exception of Cathedral , they have been scheduling out of state teams (Michigan , Ohio)

The feeling is mutual. Long history between Penn and Snider , maybe Carroll will become our new Rival from the Fort .

Could be true. I don't see Carroll scoring more than 28 points on Penn's defense , unless they have a D1 QB and receiver like Cathedral . That means Carroll's D would have to hold Penn to 14-17 points . This is possible as I still think Penn's Offense is to predictable. Should be a great game regardless .

I don't see Elkhart winning the Sectional , I think Penn/Carroll winner wins the Sectional .

I guess I just don't see the difference if this game is week one or week two . The best team is going to win the Sectional , why does it matter which week this happens ? Both teams will play just as hard trying to move on , as they would if it was the Sectional Championship .

I don't think so , you have to win to move on . Does it really matter if it's the first or second round ?

Elkhart? I would put Elkhart before Mishawaka. Heck the Cavemen barely beat a bad Concord team.

These last two games for NP will only make them better for a deep 4A playoff run. However , I don’t see anyone beating New Palestine/Roncalli in 4A.

Just as I thought, game was closer than the last two at freed field. Road doesn’t get easier for NP with Elkhart looming.
