Sectional 36 Semifinals
36_Belly replied to djbowzz's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
Lapel hasn't seen a team like the Panthers this year. This game was over after the first 2 series. Kudos to the Bulldogs on a great season though. Eastbrook is just on a different level tonight. Next week could be real interesting. -
He's spouted this same crap year in and year out and yet Eastbrook has found a way to win and advance further in the tournament than he had thought (or hoped). Last year wasn't a fluke. The Panthers got beat by a good Tipton team regardless if you believe there was a bad call near the end of the game or not. My prediction is this year the Panthers are looking for some payback and I'm going to say they will keep the pedal to the metal in every game.

The only time this game will be close is before Eastbrook gets the ball. 0-0 is as close as MG will get.
-
Mississinewa getting pummeled. 42-7 midway through the 3rd qtr.
-
I, too, will be at Eastbrook.
-
Oak Hill by a lot Blackford by 14 Alexandria by 21 Eastbrook by 28 Mississinewa lost their starting QB for the season due to a torn ACL. Feel bad for the kid. And he's a senior too.

Panthers just got royally hosed on what should've been a safety. -

Those players must not have been to LOS the last few years 😉 -

Funny how the Debbie Downers say this year in and year out yet the Panthers find a way to win. Granted they've had their share of "hit in the mouth" moments but, then again, EVERY team has that at some point. Last year's game against Tipton came down to conditioning. IMO, that's what won the game. The CIC is weak.... everybody can agree on that. However, Coach Adamson makes these kids believe they can win and they treat every game like it's a state championship..... regardless of how good or bad the opponent. -

You can also listen to the game live on WCJC. -
Eastbrook actually had a chance to tie the game late but threw an interception in the endzone. The penalty that happened prior to the INT hurt them or they probably would've pounded it in for the score.
-
He is leading the CIC in TD passes.
-
The schedule is what it is. Until the other teams in the CIC get better, Eastbrook will continue to dominate. Are they better than last year? If they win a state championship, then I would say yes. Winning breeds winning. The program that Coach Adamson has developed is team focused. These kids expect to win year in and year out.

Their schedule is extremely weak. That will be their downfall if/when they have to play Eastbrook again. My prediction of that match-up is..... and this is just hypothetical..... Eastbrook - 45 Eastern - 14 Now back to reality. Not to overlook our first round teams but I'm confident Tipton and Eastbrook will meet in round 2. Tipton is much improved and it should make for an interesting game. In the end, I'll take my Panthers by 3 touchdowns.
-
Eastbrook has demolished Eastern in the tournament, the 7 times they have faced each other, by a combined score of 239-53. To answer your questions: 1) Eastern is legit with the schedule they play 2) They have a very weak schedule 3) Tipton would probably be my pick as the only team who'd give us the most fits
-
The Eastbrook/Elwood match-up will be very close...... right up until Eastbrook runs their first offensive series.
-
Barring a fluke, Eastbrook cruises this week and, for that matter, the rest of the regular season.

Toughest schedules in 2A
36_Belly replied to itiswhatitis's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
It's pretty safe to say that, if you make it to LOS, strength of schedule goes out the window. Would their ring color be different? Maybe. One questionable no call and one obvious missed call may have made the difference in previous championship games but all the credit goes to the teams that beat us. They were very athletic and well coached. We could've played a 6A schedule last year and it wouldn't have mattered. Western Boone was unstoppable. -

Very few.... maybe 4 or 5. At least that's what it has been in the past. -

Agreed. I should've worded that a little different. -

Eastbrook has proven the last few seasons that schedule strength means squat.
