Haven't seen a lot of film for either one. Based off of what I know, I think it will come down to the LCC offense vs Cass defense. Can the Kings stop that high powered offense with their top 10 defense in 2A? On the flip side, can the Kings offense that isn't putting up a lot of points this year score against the LCC defense that seems disinterested in that side of the ball at times. Look for special teams to be a difference maker in the winner of this game for either team. Interested to see if Cass takes advantage of their size at the skilled position on the outside. I think this will be key in their ability to move the ball. Selfishly, I'm pulling for a Cass win. Would love to see two very physical Wing-T offenses going at it for the Sectional Championship(if the Zebras can get it done against the Bison, who are having a fantastic season for their program). But I think LCC is definitely the favorite in this one.

That's a pretty good synopsis... cept thinking TOs rather than SpTeams b a bigger factor....

Correct me if I’m wrong but I’m thinking Andrean is without their starting quarterback too. It will be interesting when and if he returns. He is very very good! Regardless, I think a big question going into the Andrean vs LaVille game is can LaVille defend Andrean’s potent passing game? Especially if it is a nice weather night.

The 59er qb is a Sr who became the starter in the 1st q of the 1st game.....

I think Harrell's percentages are based on numeric datapoints as opposed to more subjective items like whether there was an injury or not; even if those most likely have palpable impacts.  His site states, "Chances of winning each round, based on ratings, draw and home-field advantage."

SAG makes its case... n I could even go along w how it ranks the other classes .. but 2A n 3A jus don't look right this yr..... which may jus mean they r more a toss up ... 🤔

Lewis Cass win this week and a possible LCC/Cass back to back matchup depending on Sectional draw this week. They say you never beat a good team twice in the same year. (I hope that holds true for my Colts and the rest of the AFC South, oh wait I said good teams didn't I?) Interesting to see how it all plays out. I think Cass will have their hands full tonight against a good HH team. Back when I played, the Cass/HH matchup came way early in the year with both teams knowing it would likely determine the conference champs. Nice to see it played later in the year.

Yeah... giving the edge to HH tonite.... but the Kings played WL... that had to help em.... a HH LCC match would give me a better idea where the Knights stack up w say a LaVille ... as i have a Knox = HH  power rating..... transitive property of FB n those darn intangibles thrown into the mix.....  fun weekend w the  ping pong balls dropping on Sun....

I like the 4-4 approach by having the unblocked DE close on the fullback, scraping middle backers making quarterback pitch, and outside backer taking away pitch man with a one high safety running the alley to make everyone right. Everyone has to be discipline every play, and gotta have some tough guys on defense and it sounds like AC has that. I just feel like if you don't have that DE close and hit FB before he even crosses the line, he is gaining 3-4 yards a carry because he will be two yards past LOS before anyone hits him. Usually the FB's in those offenses are some dudes and I'd rather hit them before they get going down hill.

If firing middel LBs can't stop the FB w safety support... that'd b a halftime adj... or vice versa... either way... luv cing a great D going against option teams!!

Back in the day ... before helmets ... we ran 5-3 against the veer.  And yes, the playside DE's job was to completely blow up the QB every play.

I've seen it done w a 4-4... depends on personel I spose.... a dream for a team that has aggressive playside DEs with one sole purpose!  N fun for the OLBs when the DEs execute.... inside LBs can expect alotta bell ringing.....

I am new to this board but I very confused by the posts on here.

Andrean beat LaVille 35-8, it was really 35-0. LaVille only scored at the end of the game when they were going no huddle on Andrean's JV squad. The game was NEVER close so very confused why people think they could possibly beat them. If LaVille played Merriville or Crown Point they would lose by 28 points because they do not have the size upfront to slow them down.

Andrean has a 3 star Wideout and a 4 star lineback/running back going to ND.

Catholic schools just have the athletes that these smaller public schools do not have, so Andrean wins the sectional with ease then it's a battle with LCC in regionals, I really like the Knights Receiving core and do not think Andrean has the ability to slow them down with youth in the secondary.

IF that game happens.... Lcc is outside looking in...... but seen stranger things happen...

I have never been wrong before in my life. 🙂 Seriously, I tried to change my post, but it won't let me.  LCC had all three of their playoff games in 1976 at home.  I don't want any wrong info on my topic.  Danny Anthrop's aunt was a long time history teacher at LCC and wouldn't like wrong info.  Lafayette turns 200 years old in 2025 and sports is a part of that history.  Everything must be correct.

No worries... pop had family involved w the Laf Red Sox... prob never heard of em... lol

i believe its Mish Marian... unlike Marion HS... just sayin !

I would never confuse the 2 schools... one n IND Basketball ledgen... the other a IND FB Ledgen... MM was forced to start in Class 1A ... attempted to petition their way to the Top ... consolidation had taken hold by then and put a stop 2 it... but it was a Magnificent Run!!!
