Didn't think that they re-evaluate individual schools on a yearly basis??
They dont. It was an Exceutive Committee decision. An exception was made for Dwenger an Lcc.... C IHSAA News Release.APRIL 11 2022

I was wondering the other day about this, is the end of this year the time where they will re-classify schools based on enrollment and success factor?
No...just Dwenger...n mayb Lcc

Yeah...as Foxbat noted ... the no point issue was established with the reset... Dwenger got no points.... they will b 4A in 2023. Kokomo 5A... if last enrollment #s r used....

If history is any indication, the no-point issue also applied to both Chatard and Pioneer and they drop. Pioneer exited in the first round of 1A, their enrollment home, this season. Conversely, Chatard will be playing for a sectional championship in the Sectional of Death in 3A, their enrollment home.
Right... they had zero pts n were put back to enrollment... Dwenger Lcc had 1pt... not enuff to stay another 2 yrs... but still could get another pt in 2022 ..so they left em where they were.... n will reevaluate for 2023. I think if Dwenger wanted to stay 5A the ISHAA would say fine! .. we won't resort adj sectionals ect.... not sure what the legal ramifications would b on the processes for petioning up... if they are still in place. OR mayb the ISHAA will jus look at it n say... screw it... n leave em 5A... but they were the ones who left it open... so........ any thots???

What say all u SAC fans.. Is Dwenger better off staying in 5a for 2023 or goin to 4a?
According to the ISHAA news release on April 11 2022. Dwenger will b reevaluated for class placement in 2023. Not having earned a point in 2022, looks lto me like they will hav a choice, as I assume the Dwenger Administrators will have input on this decision by the ISHAA Executive committee to re-evaluate Dwengers Class placement for 2023.
Thinking the IHSAA would b happy to just leave it as it is.... 🤣

Dwenger will b re-evaluated for placement in 4A in 2023 for not having gained a point this yr.. 2022... but did gain a point in 2021, whic is why they were kept in 5A. This apparently has to do with when they realigned the success factor w the 2 yr reclassification cycle due to covid, and made an Executive committee decision on what to do with teams that were success factored up a class and earned 1pt in 2021. Currently, Kokomo appears to b at the top of enrollment in 4A. So... looks to me that Dwenger will go to 4A and Kokomo to 5A in 2023....
The only other FB school this applies to is Lcc..... so, appears to me, if the Knights r upset this Fri by the Zebras... Lcc will also b re-evaluated for placement in 1A in 2023... Park Tudor appears to b at the Top of enrollment in 1A...

I'm with you! I've never been a fan of polls, computer algorithms, Sagarin Ratings, the Farmers Almanac, Hammurabi Code, or the Ouija Board as they never take field/weather conditions, player injuries, questionable officiating, and player will into account.
I use all of that 🤣... n like u... I give ALOTA weight to the unspoken 4th facet of the game.... those darn Ole intangibles... 🤗 The Lancers r n enthusiastic bunch.... so they got that goin for em....

Who you calling for the upset?
Defending 2A Champs over the unbeaten Lakeville hosts?
Or
LaVille over the 59ers?
as always, the game is better

I dont hang my hat on Computer rankings n Polls... goin undefeated takes a special team for sure... i think the Lancers could upset State Champs ... for all the reasons already discussed... n don't think I'm alone in that.... u want Statewide rec?? Then instead of Beating ur chests.... Beat Them!!! as u say... that's why they play the game..... Good Luck! jmho

This is why we play the games!
This is not the same Andrean team as 2021. And, it is not the same LaVille team as 2021.
IMO this game will be followed by a lot of people around the state tonight.
as always, the game is better
from_the_sidelines007
Think it'll take n upset to get the State attention u want.... but who knows... good luck!

This game smells of the RC strategy... wouldn't b surprised if LaVille has been practicing an Andrean O all yr.... not like they didn't know this game was coming.... 😁
-
If Laville can keep it close for a half... an execute an Andrean O in the 2nd H... is their best shot at a win.... jmho

bring out that 2008 Rensselaer phonebook offense.
Mayb lol .. but Rydel High has Jefferson on their team to contend with 🤣.... n being one dimensional ain't good when everyone in the house knows what's coming... esp on 3rd n long... linemen teeing off... n D backs drooling for the pic 6 ... LaVille will hav to mix it up w play action to keep em honest.... this is a great strategy game... c if the Lancers can execute a curve ball/change up in the 2nd half... RC did it successfully on their title run denying Lcc another title.... r the Lancers that versatile??

I think both Laville and Triton have to execute the same game plan in order to have a chance! No turnovers, long sustained drives ending in points and very few penalties. I give Laville a better chance than Triton but you never know. With the help of the opponent turning the ball over, anything can happen!
3.5 yards every carry ought do it..... 👍

Knox over WN by 10 - could see a high scoring game in this matchup.
Andrean over Laville by 14 - Laville had a great season, but I believe Andrean's schedule prepped them better than Laville's. I hope I'm wrong!
Culver over SC in a shutout - Culver will put 40 up in the first couple quarters and let their playmakers rest as they coast to the Sectional Championship.
North Judson over Triton by 21 - I think this matchup will be closer than the first game a month ago, but Triton won't have the fire power to come out ahead.
Good post.... Agree that LaVille r the dogs in this one... n Andrean will not b intimidated by said physicality... they've been ther ... seen the real deal multiple times... everyone luvs a good upset... mayb the Lancers can pull it off.... would b Very Impressive if they did!! As for Andreans Qb situation... hope the returning Qb is held in reserve till if n when needed.... think the kid in charge has earned it.... jmho

I didn't realize LaVille is more physical than Merriville, Crown Point, Hobart, Snider, Dwenger, North.... Feel sorry for Andrean n Luers.....

The LCC football team was at 9:30 mass at St. Lawrence last Sunday. I thought Father was going to bawl them out for playing poor D against good teams, but he did not. Two of the players did the readings. If they can get up in front of everyone in church, they shouldn't be afraid of the Kings. 🙂
Shoulda made it 6:30a!!! 🤣 they'll b ready....

Since I am a Catholic in the Lafayette arch diocese this is sort of a home game for this King. Maybe the LCC folks will grant me some favor at Walts. LOL
All r welcome! That D of the Kings has me thinking n upset is in the making... as more can go wrong w the Lcc O.... n the Lcc D hasn't showed up in the big games.... but... if Lcc can jump on em early n take care of the rock... mite b enuff..... Should b a fun game!!

I had this game circled to attend... but hav to take care of some things in the far reaches of NE Ind.. Waits is typically favored by those that remember the original Walts! 😂
