  1. I think schools will have camps, but there will not be mega showcases this summer on campuses. We are putting on a showcase, and are advertising it as such. I am not sure why the negativity. This is simply another opportunity, and another part of the recruiting process. You focused on the $110 after April first. Rather than the $60 before March 1st, why?
  2. I completely understand and agree to some degree with your sentiment. Showcases have become the norm when it comes to recruiting exposure as they are the best ways to get tangible stats and perform in front of college coaches. The facts are that we have had MANY college programs represented at our showcases over the last couple of years in December, and every one of these showcases have resulted in players receiving opportunities that they may not have gotten otherwise. There is no reason for a D1 coach to attend a showcase, as the players they are recruiting do not, by and large, attend them. Those players attend on campus workouts and showcase camps that they are invited to attend. To address the on campus events, the ones that are beneficial are the mega camps, where large numbers of college staffs are represented. Unfortunately, none of them are going to happen this summer because of Covid and numbers. UINDY hosted a mega, but the other campuses are hosting team camps and showcase events just like ours, but those schools are watching the athletes that they have invited. This is an imperfect system and all we are trying to do is provide kids with opportunities to perform on the field. Every camp is attended by players and payers. Some athletes will earn opportunities and some will not. Our events are geared towards players who may not be D1, but are looking to get in front of DII, DIII, NAIA, and JUCO programs. I would be happy to answer any other questions, or address any other concerns. Thanks
  3. It is geared toward position players, however, with this event being outside on a full field, there is the opportunity for specialists to come and display their skills as well! Thank you for asking!
  4. This is going to be a great event. We will have colleges in attendance, and are looking forward to giving guys another opportunity to build doors for their future!
  5. Still, potentially, has four years of eligibility remaining. Depending on the destination and a waiver situation.
  6. May be the most beautiful school building that you could visit!
  7. Sports had little to no impact on the districting of Evansville. The current districts took two main components into consideration, and they are in this order. "Culture" Geography
  8. Sure has ... Could absorb areas from each of the other five high schools. All have pieces of the Bosse pie.
  9. They have not for thirty years or better, why would they now. The perfect opportunity was when the new North building was relocated. It was the perfect opportunity to make some changes and they did not.
  10. The corporations boundaries are ridiculous in 2021. I have pushed this issue for some time, but North is not the only school that is benefiting from players being bussed out of the Bosse district.
  11. My last season at Bosse we had a female official begin doing games in Evansville. She did a great job, and hopefully will be holding the door so to speak for more women in the future. I actually believe 5that there is some great benefit to not having played the game as an official. So long as you do your homework, it removes some of the bias that exists with those who have played.

  13. That is correct, they do play home games at Byers Field. My cousin graduated from Ignatius a handful of years ago. It is down the page on the link below. https://www.ignatiuswildcats.com/facilities Side Note: Great Lakes Brewery is right across the street from the Ignatius campus and has both excellent food and beverages.

  15. I think that those are all valid questions, and they should all be posed alongside the one I asked. That is really interesting information.
  16. Serious question: Would it not be more appealing if Terre Haute only had one school to travel to, rather than two? At this point, it seems as if they are two schools on an island that come as a package deal. With consolidation, they would create a situation where the one single school, which would seemingly become extremely competitive almost instantly in every sport, becomes a much more logical addition to several conferences. I am not sure that a single Terre Haute high school would not have had a shot at getting into the SIAC to create a 12 team league. One trip to Terre Haute every other year in all sports is much more logical than a trip in every sport, every year.
  17. Not so fast my friend. Look at their tapes next to one another. Both dominant at their positions, however neither is WAY better than the other. You could, in fact make a pretty solid argument that one has much more impressive highlights! #Fisher4MRFBALL
