  1. I had the same mindset as my coaches. If you are playing for us, GREAT. We are gonna work like crazy to be the best we can be. If you are choosing not to play for us (either staying at the school and not playing or choosing to go to another school) GREAT, best wishes, and we are moving on without you.
  2. False. When I played, we did not. Actually, the 3 Catholic schools that "feed" into Andrean in the Tri-Town area (St. Joe's in Dyer is no longer, St. Michael's in Schererville and St. John Evangelist in St. John) "sent" more of their "talent" to LC when I was in school (92-96) than the other way around. The floodgates opened around 1998 when some of our home grown talent chose to go to Andrean (Brett Goins-QB and Rob Caldwell-RB/LB). I coached them both at Grimmer MS. Both fantastic young men. Rob went on to The Naval Academy and lead the country in tackles, IMSC. One of those player's parents made it known that they were sending their child to Andrean because they did not like Coach Britton's option based offense.
  3. A few things that were going on when I was in school at LC (92-96). We didn't have many "in fighting" parents between the communities. They all supported all the kids. We didn't have our best talent choose to go elsewhere (most notably Andrean or Mount Carmel). In fact, the 3 catholic schools in Dyer, Schererville and St. John "sent" (meaning the parents chose to send their kids to LC) more talent to LC than we "lost" to them. When I played, we never had to "worry" about Andrean in football. We prepared. We played and took care of them.
  4. In order. Yes. Yes. Yes. Dann Ellenwood Lake Central Class of 1996 Best wishes LC. GO BLUE!
  5. 51 yard FG for the WIN! Sure looked a lot like Joe Montana 😉
  6. No. My father moved away from Ft. Wayne after HS for work. My parents (mother is from NWI) settled in Schererville where my sister and I were raised. My dad passed away in February 2012. New Haven will always have a fan with me. ***IMSC, my dad's mom and dad had a house on Paulding Road.

    Chicago Bears 2020

Has NOTHING do do w crossover. Good start, bad finish. Not too sad to see him leave.
  8. Apparently everything about the Bears this year is comical, hence, the LOL.

    Chicago Bears 2020

    As a Cubs fans....NO!
  10. Still 3 losses any way you cut it. No moral victories in the NFL.
  11. He did win. 🙂 Have a great and blessed day.
  12. As I said, for whatever reason...maybe it's because they all share purple as a school color.
  13. They do? No argument. How is Bill doing this year? He has? What is Venables salary? What?
  14. For whatever reason, I keep coming back to this. This entails 2 region teams and 1 Indy team. Merrillville, Hobart and Ben Davis will all be playing for state titles.
  15. ? Saban-DC----heavy presence on D Belichik-DC----heavy presence on D Kelly-OC----called plays up until he nearly stroked Sweeney-OC----still keeps the menu on O Smart-DC----still calls the D. But by all means, keep going... I knew Hicks was big. I didn't know he was THAT big. 6'5 350+ and can MOVE!
  16. Like them all, but not sold on NDSU or BYU QB as instant top tier guys that will lead them into playoffs.
  17. What if.....and hear me out.....(this could go for whichever team drafts Lawrence or Fields).....hires their college head coach (either Dabo or Day) as their new NFL head coach? Taking the Kliff Kingsbury "model" to an entirely different level. ***Arizona picked Rosen and had Steve Wilks as their HC. They get the #1 pick. Murray is their guy. Kingsbury got fired from TT and hired as what, the USC OC. Arizona pays the buy out to USC, hires KK and drafts KM. Seems to be a great partnership.
