  1. Nope... they couldn't have, IMHO. Personally, I would have given VL a second chance to get into the PAC Big School division. I think they would have been a nice fit. The word I heard around the conference is that the second chance wouldn't come because of all the shenanigans that go on with that school at sporting events regarding sportsmanship.
  2. I would be shocked if Boonville did that.
  3. The Big 8 wasn't salvageable, but they had a window of opportunity during which joining the PAC was an option.
  4. Trust me…sending schools would often not sign off even with a bonified change in address. There are administrators in this state who are pieces of (insert expletive) with regard to allowing kids to do what’s best for them and their family.
  5. Can’t imagine this idea not having huge support with the member schools.
  6. My gut feeling is Jasper has made a decision.
  7. Smartest move out of VL since….well ever. LOL
  8. I'm sure there is some reason that protects the IHSAA from litigation doing it this way. That said....this might be the best thing he has ever done if it goes through.

  10. Doesn't the right coach have the ability (along with a newly refreshed admin commitment) to change a school's position on this list? These positions have changed within the last 10 years, so they can change again.
  11. It's going to be a tough sell NOW for any PAC schools since the conference allows so much non-conference flexibility. There was a time when some might have said having to find non-conference games was too much of a pain....the general consensus I hear around the conference now is that it is desirable and well-liked.
  12. I'm ready to quit anytime. It's comical how you act as if everyone else is ambiguous. YES! I would like to see a system in addition to the success factor similar to Iowa has put in place here in Indiana. AND a few weeks to the success factor. The success factor wasn't put in for the reasons you think.....as some sort of "on the field" measure of ALL institutions (schools and businesses). It was put there as "something" to stop the bleeding (that's seen across the nation) that wouldn't get them sued. What would you like to see done to fix the glaring issue?
  13. I don't know Cody at all....how will he handle some of the interesting parent personalities on the current squad? Goebel could just say...shut up. LOL
  14. Perhaps “divisor” system would be more accurate. LOL
  15. Nope! But…I have heard of a guy interested who is just as far away from the flex bone!
  16. LOL....there are always exceptions HA HA!
  17. While that is a worthwhile purpose, it's not really a school experience. It's an exclusive experience that comes at a cost. This exclusive experience is a choice...not a right. It's capitalism at its finest..."not for profit" or not. It creates a very homogenous building population in addition to attracting quality students and quality student-athletes through the desire of their customers to be paired with like-minded individuals.
  18. I'm not for a multiplier. But I do like the Iowa enrollment modification system. A business offers an exclusive experience. Kind of like free lessons at the public golf course vs lessons from the course pro at the country club. They are NOT the same; the latter should not receive tax dollars. One is a business offering an exclusive experience with like-minded individuals.
  19. Enrollment alone is a horrible solution. Enrollment types are too dissimilar between a business and a school.
  20. And that church isn’t an exclusive club.
