  1. I still think current Juniors need an answer on if they want to take advantage of the new rule....is there a way to make it work? Like, for example, transferring before the last day of their Junior season and then waiting for the new rule to take effect in the Summer...or would that be a clear violation of the new rule?
  2. I don't think there will be a mass exodus of coaches because of the new rule. Most transfers went through and many that were contested should have gone through and didn't because of @ZZ hole administrators. There will be some abuse here but mostly in urban area basketball. I also don't think this new rule will create a zombie apocalypse.
  3. Just a guess here as well, but I think he is just done with coaching for now. Coach Ward is a really good guy.
  4. Yes sir, GS will be very strong this year although Memorial and Mater Dei will be good as well in sectional 32.
  5. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Luers is the representative in 3A from the North.
  6. I see what you did there.
  7. Keep this thread going....he can't resist commenting on Facebook. I will admit I stand corrected, the net profit is enough to buy a burrito and a Coke every Saturday for nearly a fiscal year.
  8. WOW! Just read his tirade yesterday about everything his Facebook page offers. If this place is such a dumpster fire why does he continually steal topics and discussion material from here? His Facebook page is a lot like his content was here....it has "some" excellent stuff with psychotic ramblings and off-the-wall positions sprinkled in.
  9. Great to see all those views have resulted in a net profit adequate enough to buy a burrito and a Coke.
  10. I think the IHSAA needs to clarify the language for current Juniors asap...some of these kids have been rejected by some @hole administrator for wanting to attend the school down the road a few miles and would love to benefit from the new rule if they had time to apply to a new school after the end of the school year.
  11. Fill out this webform to support public teachers! https://www.ista-in.org/take-action-help-strengthen-indianas-public-schools?snw=1&ref=d9375f2b-dcc9-4b95-9bd1-103ee8f0fdff&fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAAR2d1n5PJwPk1UO7jbu442euZSkvMvYuln59N20QGZk6I8AvfkO8NRkS4m4_aem_krMNVAWDjCiP6-BPibiBUQ
  12. Someone is going to lawyer up and say....kids going to be Seniors this year, regardless if it is past the end of their "6th semester"....need to be able to make this move since they didn't have the option before like the classes after them are going to have. This needs some sort of ramp. And to your point ....issues with the language as it pertains to trimesters. The language is too basic for what we will be dealing with.
  13. So…does the first 6 semesters count the summer after junior year?
  14. Now answer for the football everyone REALLY cares about in Indiana 4A and 3A! I'd be curious about those counts as well.
  15. Gibson Southern has been going out for big-time competition for several years now. Coach Hart has proven he will play anyone anywhere. Technically a "suburb" southeast of Springfield....the Rockets have done pretty well when they travel up North to play in 4A state championships. This year's addition of Rochester IL shows to be another one of these matchups. Rochester has won state championships in 2010–2011, 2011–2012, 2012–2013, 2013–2014, 2014–2015, 2016–2017, 2017–2018, 2019–2020, and 2023–2024. The Rochester Rockets football team won their ninth state title in 2023, beating St. Laurence 59-38 in the Class 4A state championship game.
  16. https://www.indystar.com/story/sports/high-school/2025/02/15/what-new-ihsaa-transfers-rules-bylaw-changes-mean-for-indiana-students-statehouse-bill-one-time/78665785007/
  17. The bill has a sound premise. The IHSAA spends too much time and resources playing detective on transfers....those resources would be much better spent doing other things. Just allowing a one-time freebie will free up hundreds if not thousands of man-hours. Here is a start....most people think that if there is a bonified change of address into a new district, full eligibility will be granted...that is NOT the case. At least just say...ok kid....your family moved, and that is a huge sacrifice....despite whether the sending school jack@zz admins think it was for athletic reasons or not.....these transfers should be green stamped.
  18. This can't be true...if it is these families are making a big mistake until the IHSAA lays out what the rules are going to be. For example...can someone going into their senior year make a move based on athletics? We don't know yet.
  19. Getting kids to anything there is a struggle, and they could take or leave football; they don't care. Unless there is a strong parent-driven class that comes through from time to time, that does all the youth stuff, etc., the only classes that seem to get traction are the ones that do. Some publics can maintain great parent-driven classes year after year...some can't. I think it's at least mildly comical how people think because you have "athletes in the building" that somehow that right coach is going to turn that one factor into success. I mean, I guess you can be Reitz and get some of those kids out and run go routes all night. How is that working out? The path to success is having kids involved in football from 1st grade on...."Joey program kid" wins more games that 4.4 kid "in the building"
  20. Tell me you haven't been exposed to the kids at North without telling me you haven't been exposed.
