    I have seen highly recruited DII athletes not make the team. It seems to be heavily influenced by the region, with teams often favoring players from the same area as the head coach and assistant coaches.

    The short answer is yes....very early on paper SW Indiana is once again the place to be for small school football.

    The Princeton Tigers went 3-1 at the WVCA 7 on 7 with wins over Owen Valley, West Vigo and Marshall IL...the only loss was a close one with Terre Haute North, where TN scored on the last play of the game to take the lead.

    Even Memorial? I would think 7 on 7 would be too soft for a program so well known for its physical play.

    Where only the strong survive....I've been to some brutal tournaments in the southeast. That's what I'm asking....do we know what local teams are in it? I have no idea.

    Maybe the smaller schools in the shadow of the bigger schools will actually benefit from kids moving down who wouldn't see much playing time at the bigger school. 4A and below state championships aren't usually won with a bunch of D1 guys on the roster....a bunch of Johny averages with high football IQ and a good work ethic do.

    @hhpatriot04 I haven't read this whole thread, but it seems like your results overlook the second-best team each season. Said another way, the second-best team in year 20xx might still be a top-25 historical team, right? I mean that would have to happen, I would think. If someone has asked this already, I apologize.

    Yes...this is his little brother. My oldest son played with Cory and was a 2016 grad.
