I don't see limited evidence.  If this evidence was so 'limited' why was Mr. Harbaugh banned from the sideline for 6 games this season?

Please, I would like to read this list of posters, and exactly why they more legitimacy regarding college football than Mr. Doyel.

Ya see, when someone is continually wrong (see Doyel’s examples above, and I could cite more) they lose legitimacy in my opinion.  That’s how this works.  He has skin in the game as his paycheck is impacted by being controversial…and it’s not just him as this is modern day media as every network engages in this behavior.

I’d watch a podcast of DT, Bash and Bob on the regular…even though we have our differences in opinion, they don’t thrive on hyperbole and ratings.

As for “limited evidence” @Grover cherry picked a quote from JJ McCarthy which was a small portion of the article.

Michigan had top 5 defenses in the country under Don Brown in 2018 and 2019…and gave up 118 points in two contests against Ohio State….makes ya think.

So you just bitch about him on an internet football forum. No actual legitimacy there.   Got it.

When others bring him up and he is attempting to marginalize the accomplishments of my favorite program with limited evidence in order to get clicks?

Yes…I’m going to bitch about him.

I could name a half dozen posters on this forum that have more legitimacy than Doyel…I’d read them in a heartbeat.

Mr. Doyel's current position at the Indy Star is a sport columnist.  He's paid to write his opinions.  IMHO a columnist is different than a "Sensationalist journalist".

Ok, well his opinions suck and have for quite sometime.

When you have a platform, you also have a responsibility to have educated opinions…instead he digs his heels in and takes the most controversial stance possible while actually alienating himself and his employer from common sense.  This “antagonist view” gains clicks which is a high priority in modern day journalism.

Maybe I was too kind with my Fox/CNN/MSNBC take…the National Enquirer is more appropriate.

    Cue @temptation in 3…2…1…

Doyel is CNN/MSNBC/and Fox rolled into one.  He wishes HE had someone he could “cheat” on.

    Sensationalist journalism.

“Thousands will die if there are fans at the Indianapolis 500 and if college football is played.”

NO ONE has held him accountable.  “Journalism” is full of hacks in the modern era.

Dang. You’re obviously upset that Harbaugh is leaving and you aren’t thinking clearly. Your team is in the championship game. You shouldn’t be so bitter.

LOL, not bitter at all.  If maize and blue confetti drops in Houston next Monday night, I’ll recommend YOU as the next HC in Ann Arbor.

And that’s “if he leaves”…you must have insight that those close to Jim don’t.

Or you are just listening to the same talking heads that have been wrong every damn step of the way?

I've been accused of a lot of things but never being an OSU fan.  Try to think a little rather than taking sophomoric cheap shots.

Oh, I think PLENTY.  I THINK your one-sided presentation of the very article in which you quoted McCarthy shows your true colors and that you have an axe to grind.

Here’s the full article that you went all CNN/MSNBC to cherry pick.

Seconded. Ask Belichick about that reality.

Most coaches are only as good as their players. Frank Vogel went 54-110 in two years in Orlando, was fired, hired by the Lakers and won a championship the next year. Monty Williams went from winning 60 games a year in Phoenix to coaching the Pistons and went two entire months without recording a win.

There are a couple of exceptions to this rule (guys that have succeeded at both levels) but I just can’t put my finger on who they are…

One of them even lost QB1 and still went to the Super Bowl…and that QB1 was never the same after the coach departed.

We agreed the back half of the schedule offered a higher degree of difficulty for Michigan. But then you attempted to embellish the first part of their schedule by stating Bowling Green and UNLV played in bowls. Big deal. They are programs that Michigan should run over and you know it. The first 3 games for Michigan offered very little for the Wolverines in terms of competition for non-conference games. Would have liked to seen them challenge themselves a little more, but worked out for them. The way Penn State and OSU played in their bowl games doesn’t overwhelm most with Michigan’s overall schedule this year

I just can’t with you anymore dude.  You know the sport and you almost had me until you tried to cite bowl games results as an indicator of schedule and conference strength.

It isn’t the 1990s anymore.  OSU played without its two most important players and had zero motivation in the Cotton Bowl.

I mean if we are gonna play this game, let’s at least be consistent and not cherry pick.

A Maryland team that gave Michigan everything it could handle just went out and throttled an Auburn team that Bama needed a miracle to beat last month.

Do you know how ridiculous you sound or are you just being purposefully dense at this stage?

You want Michigan to lose so badly tomorrow so you can get on here and take some sort of victory lap and somehow validate all of your garbage takes on this thread.

Did Harbaugh date your wife when he played for the Colts in the 90s?  Something is off here.

The discussion was Michigan’s first few games this season and your attempt to make these programs look stronger than what they are. UM rolled East Carolina, UNLV and Bowling Green as they should have…with or without Harbaugh. All are mid majors period.  No shock Michigan QB put up good stats against those teams.

But Ricky (purposefully) attempted to paint a narrative with his slick use of the term “resigned” even though Stallions missed the MSU game.  I simply pointed out that the back half of the schedule was more loaded than the front half and you shifted the goalposts in another attempt to disparage and support the ridiculous/irresponsible graphic posted by CBS.

Stats look a bit different if you include the MSU game, no?

1186 yards, 5 TD’s 1 INT with a 73% completion percentage once that one is added in.

Its open season on Michigan/Harbaugh right now and everyone nationally is piling on and clutching their pearls.

    Michigan 31 - Alabama 21

    Washington 27 - Texas 21

    Washington 28 - Michigan 24

I see Washington and Texas going way over that number.  Expect a track meet.

If your prediction on the Rose Bowl is correct, I may just take @Bobref up on his offer and spare the board for a few days.

If so I need you to get some quality photos of @Bash Riprock stabbing his Jim Harbaugh voodoo doll.

Michigan? The Tide? Upstart Washington? Return to Glory Texas?

After considerable soul searching, I have reluctantly decided that I want Michigan to take home the brass ring. I did so for 3 reasons:

    1. After all, it’s the B1G.
    2. I would really enjoy the NCAA people swallowing hard while watching Harbaugh accept the trophy.
    3. By pulling for the Striped Helmeted Head of the Weasel Family, it’s possible I might shock @temptation into at least momentary silence, which would give us a respite, however brief, from his incessant defenses of Khaki Boy.

I think this is the first time in the history of the CFP you could make a legitimate case for all 4 teams.

I do as much homework as you, just don’t wear rose colored glasses jock sniffing my favorite team. You can’t have it both ways…you claim QB stats are down because of a tougher schedule at end, then try to defend quality of first few games. For Michigan, they were cupcakes and you know it. So stop arguing because you are bored.

You are doing your homework in crayon apparently then.  You’re all over the place and you seem to have an obsession with Harbaugh with “tinted” glasses…

Harbaugh’s players and fellow coaching staff members love him by the way.  You and the click hungry screwballs in the national media just can’t help yourselves.

    I shared a tweet. That’s all.

But we do agree…UM opened up with a cream puff schedule….during Jimmy’s first set of games suspension.

Did they though?  I mean it wasn’t murderer’s row but ended up being more respectable than first thought.  Bowling Green won 7 games and UNLV 9.

And you knew exactly what you were attempting to do when you shared the tweet, which is framed in an irresponsible way I’d also like to point out.

Though Stallions did not resign until the bye week, he was not on the sideline for the game against Michigan State because he was suspended.  So had the graphic included that game and been titled “with/without Stallions” I would have a tiny ounce more respect.

The MSU game was JJ’s best game of the year by the way.

    21/27, 287 yards, 4 TD’s…

Have folks really shifted the goal posts from “Michigan knew other teams’ offensive signs” to “their quarterback, benefited from the sign stealer, recognizing the defense that the opposition was in and relating it to the quarterback?”   Come on.

All of those ridiculous photos that hit social media where Stallions was standing next to the defensive staff yet I haven’t seen one that shows him next to Sherrone Moore.

The media has gotten desperate at this point and it’s just downright pathetic.

Do some homework on this catapult sport story that is breaking slowly and report back to me.

I know it's just a rumor and hypothetical at this point, but what would that do to your allegiance to the Wolverines?

I am obviously biased but I believe that the only coach in America superior to Harbaugh is the one on the opposing sideline Monday so anyone would be a downgrade in my opinion.

That being said (and another caveat (this report is complete BS)) I’d take Kelly in a heartbeat, lol.
