  1. Yes, it went off the rails when @GOLDRUSH1985 got drunk, broke out his letter jacket, dusted off his VCR and started reliving his glory days while daring anyone without a blue ring to challenge his intelligence.
  2. Why do @Andrean4life and @Piratefan101 never quote one another?
  3. False. I count 1-12. How can you be so bad at this?
  4. Cool. Now compete with a team from Indy for a change and I’ll start paying attention.
  5. Correct that SES is not Penn’s problem. They are no longer the bully on the block to their northern Indiana counterparts though. Don’t want to pick on Penn anymore though. I want my question answered. Why will Tech NEVER become CG? Still maintain they could have scored 100.
  6. You are getting closer... Yes, it does...especially when you factor in SES and other factors. Tech and CG had similar enrollments at the beginning of the last cycle...but they were/are worlds apart on the gridiron. Wonder why...
  7. Enrollment isn't everything...feel like we've been here before. With the number of schools over 3000 growing, the advantages once held by the BD's, Warren's and Carmel's of the world are shrinking. It is all about the realistic number of student-athletes that you can recruit for football. HSE/Fishers' 3000+ are much different than NC/Warren's...hence the reason the gap has closed and may be completely closed sooner rather than later.
  8. Who would you rank in front of them? Who else could stay within single digits of the team that has won 29 in a row? Yes sir.
  9. Throw in the VHS tapes of your glory days and pop open a cold one. You'll feel better. I promise.
  10. Not going down this rabbit hole with you. When it turns into a "my dad could beat your dad up" type of argument, you've already admitted defeat. Speaking of your dad, it was cute to see @gonzoron give you a cute little emoji for your back talk.
  11. Yes, that was a great game that could have been even greater.
  12. Sigh. Stop being so sensitive. I have no agenda. Recent stats are all that matter. Enjoy your titles from the 90s. Its the same deal in the SEC. I dislike the fact that the CFP has been anticlimactic in most years. What stats SHOULD I be citing in your opinion?
  13. I want to see a competitive state title game between two schools that do not see one another in the regular season and are not within a stone's throw of 465. Who hurt you so badly? Let it out.
  14. 2015 was an anomaly. It’s been way longer than that. Taking the Indy/Indy matchups out of the equation, true “north schools” have been blown out more often than not. Lawrence Central beat Snider by 25 in 2012. Carmel beat Penn by 54 in 2011. Warren Central beat Penn by 50 in 2003. Ben Davis beat Snider by 24 in 2002. Ben Davis beat Valpo by 19 in 2001.
  15. Yet another “conspiracy theory” proven true?
  16. And hell at this point I would settle for a true team from the north to actually be COMPETITIVE in the title game. Baby steps.
  17. Sort of the exact opposite actually. I respect the Indy area as it demands it and the results speak for themselves. Ball don’t lie. Facts hurt.
  18. Call me crazy but it just doesn’t feel like a “state championship game” if neither team travels more than 45 minutes to the stadium, especially if it is a rematch of a regular season matchup.
  19. Not about me. Why so bitter?
  20. In most years at least 80 percent of the top ten ranked teams in 6A are Indy teams and of those, only 4/5 are actually “contenders.” Don't let geography and a sectional/regional trophy case fool you into thinking Merrillville is better than they are. They could compete and probably win more than their fair share against those 16-32 you mentioned, but the gap is so large from the top half dozen to teams 16-32 it might as well be the Grand Canyon. The parallel to college football is the same. Being ranked 10-15 is a damn fine accomplishment but only 3-4 teams have a realistic shot at the title.
  21. Not impressive when the class has THIRTY-TWO teams. Honest question, do 5A/6A teams that receive votes but aren’t ranked in the coaches/media poll boast?
  22. Once again, I’m praying they take the next step. Be great for the sport.
  23. I agree. See my post in the other thread about the need for non-central Indy parity in 6A. 5A is not immune either. It’ll be cool to see an actual north/south matchup.
