  1. Hey, it’s a start. I’m not for everyone.
  2. Westfield seems too low. Lawrence North seems too high. Zionsville seems too high.
  3. Roncalli seems low. Whiteland seems too high. Warren seems too high. Decatur Central seems too low.
  4. Pro tip: If you want folks to take you seriously, I’d suggest capitalization, punctuation and an education.
  5. Sorta right though. Hart complaining is akin to Swinney and Saban complaining about NIL… ”Shady practices are okay, as long as we are the only ones allowed to do them.”
  6. My thoughts also…and I’m not convinced he/she is as certain regarding “who I am” as they think. Some people only surround themselves with others who hold their same opinions, which is boring to me. I’ve gone down this road with a couple of other posters.
  7. That’s a great question. Currently have three coaches (including Kirschner) on the staff with previous head coaching experience. Common sense would dictate at a school that large that it is impossible to do both of those jobs effectively, no?
  8. Kirschner rumored to be the new AD at Warren…discuss.
  9. “He's a known truth teller on this Forum.” Fixed it for you.
  10. So much to unpack here but I won’t waste my time. Good luck to Warren this fall.
  11. Competitive on a statewide level though. Of course Carmel does in everything and if you are going to compare your school’s athletic program to Carmel you’re going to be disappointed every damn time. 5000+ kids with a FRL under 10 percent vs 3000 kids with a FRL in the high 20’s if I’m not mistaken. You can break through and slay the giant every now and again but it’s hard to do consistently across the board.
  12. CG has much more than just football and track. Softball, baseball, golf, XC just off the top of my head. Sorry, just saw this. Took the words right out of my mouth. I think Carmel has this “larger than life” stigma attached to them and are sort of like the Yankees or Duke basketball of the IHSAA. In talking to folks from a variety of walks of life, Carmel is usually the common enemy of most… and it’s because they win.
  13. Which begs the question: SHOULD Brownsburg be adverse to adding Carmel? I mean, the Bulldogs beat BD in the regular season and got beaten by them in November… They didn’t play Carmel in the regular season and blew their doors off in November. Could be a coincidence, sure… From my understanding, Brownsburg was/is all in on Carmel and CG but they too could benefit from loading their conference trophy case first.
  14. Brownsburg is a little brother in 6A overall, not necessarily specific to Carmel…hell the entire HCC is as of now. I caught hell when claiming the HCC had closed the gap and would eventually take over even after citing regular season wins against the MIC. Its like you said in the off topic forum, Michigan beat OSU last fall but no one truly (including you) believes the rivalry has changed, nor should they.
  15. Yes but to be taken seriously, it has to be done consistently. Brownsburg proved it was still little brother by stubbing it’s toe a week later. Little brothers do not shed the label until they learn how to handle success consistently/long term.
  16. Brownsburg disagrees. I think they surprised the hell out of Carmel last year…would have never happened the way it did had they played in the regular season. You can get where you want to go without playing someone in the regular season.
  17. One school in each IHSAA sanctioned sport finishes the season hoisting the state championship trophy and while it’s a legitimate goal for many programs, it’s still a lofty one. Hard to sell success to your youngsters, community and families when your trophy case doesn’t have many IHSAA tournament trophies…at least accumulating some conference trophies softens the blow and gives you some recognition.
  18. Easier said than done when your big brother has over twice your enrollment.
  19. This is what I heard also. I also think that Hamilton Southeastern and Fishers would be strongly against Carmel specifically. It sucks that Carmel loads their trophy case with sectional championship trophies while those two schools, who are usually ranked highly in their respective sports, are watching by the regional round due to geography. At least if you keep Carmel out of your conference you have an extra chance for some hardware. Just an opinion, no inside info.
  20. LOL, just an incredibly bad take on his part, one of his worst…which is saying something. Analogy: It’s the McDonald’s that I eat once per year that’s making me obese. Sure, it could have played a minuscule factor but come on. Dude provided no context and tried to sincerely compare a one off incident by an immature group of punk kids to folks on the west side of town fearing for their lives and losing friends and family members on a daily basis.
  21. Come on now. One was a handful of idiot teenage kids, the other is a cultural/community issue that is life or death. Turn on the news. I have little faith in many modern administrators but if you think some idiot 15 year old kids’ whose balls have yet to drop dictated policy and future procedure/decision making for thousands of student athletes, you are more gone than I had originally thought. By no means excusing it, but not a valid comparison. Apples to oranges.
  22. Several denials huh? Please tell us more.
  23. I “joke” about three nights a week currently Ron, you?
