  1. Do I really have to go through this AGAIN? What do the suburban schools with smaller 6A enrollments have in common?
  2. Oh I’m agreeing. I just like getting you off topic and fired up. Happy holidays my man.
  3. Warren and BD will continue to be contenders based on enrollment and commitment to the sport. Carmel and CG aren’t going anywhere. But the dynamic of what is happening in the Indy suburbs makes it an even steeper hill than it’s ever been. HSE, Westfield, Brownsburg, and Zionsville are growing and have waited their turn. They’ve made the commitment that BD/Warren did three decades ago and now have the facilities and enrollment to do some serious damage. Furthermore, Fishers, Franklin Central, and Whiteland will be key players in the next few years. It used to just be a 2-4 team mountain that non central Indy schools had to climb. It’s now at a half dozen and growing.
  4. Merrillville’s “grab a transfer” method made things interesting but even that fell on its face. This has been stated repeatedly on this very forum and speaks to this topic. The commitment that the central Indiana mega schools pour into football is unmatched by any other area of the state. You combine that with enrollment advantages and you have the results you speak of. A Fort Wayne/SAC all-star team maybe?
  5. I just don’t foresee Tech to the MIC as a legitimate option. It does nothing for the MIC athletically or financially. Once the HCC “vote” takes place the picture will become more clear. Never. I said they’d make the Westfield contest interesting. That’s as far as I went.
  6. I guess I just disagree with the definition of “in the conversation.” I can tell you that no one in central Indiana has viewed them as a threat. Getting blown out when the opportunity presents itself doesn’t help.
  7. When will Homestead, Carroll or Leo breakthrough on a statewide level? We’ve been waiting.
  8. I’ll also take my prior statement a step farther…as an AD/coach of any power 5 program, I’m scheduling three cream puffs annually. Other than for fan enjoyment/program exposure, early season power 5 matchups are a bad idea.
  9. DT is right though. Maryland and Rutgers are ascending and being located in recruiting hotbeds will only aid in their improvement.
  10. They need to schedule three non-conference cream puffs annually, beat Rutgers/Maryland every year and steal one from MSU once every 2-3 years then hope they get favorable crossovers from the Big Ten West. That's their ceiling. 8/9 is a dream more than 1-2 times per decade.
  11. Ah, I was guessing philosophy.
  12. Doesn’t change the fact that their top 20 rated recruiting class was still FIFTH in the Big Ten EAST. IU’s climb to relevance is simply too steep under the current divisional alignment.
  13. Just when I begin to think you can’t sink any lower… You mind posting those “advanced degrees” you boasted of?
  14. NC State isn’t group of 5 but I agree on all other fronts. Children, specifically those aged 0-22 have been affected by this pandemic in ways which many of them may never fully recover (and probably not the reason many of you think) and we will see the results of it for years to come in terms of academics and socially. I’m just glad many folks in charge have finally opened their eyes that this virus is not going away and we have to learn to live with it. Sorry if that pisses people off but enough is enough.
  15. I feel for the NC State folks who traveled clear across the county, bought hotels and then were informed 4 hours prior to kickoff there would be no game. Bet they lost out on thousands of dollars.
  16. No one’s business. You also think folks should openly discuss their vasectomies, colonoscopies and prostate exams too?
  17. Common sense finally prevails! https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/32953028/sources-nfl-nflpa-deal-cut-covid-isolation-5-days
  18. Helluva win. Huge gut check.
  19. Yep. Full of it. Countless examples.
  20. Yep. With DUKIE-V as the ring leader
  21. But BSECPN stated that Jimbo was doing “the responsible thing and placing a higher priority on player safety over money.” (I just spit out my coffee.)
  22. Awesome find. Neat to see. I wonder what championship Ben Davis claims in 1991? @BDGiant93?
  23. Geographical representation is important. An 8 team system like the one I proposed ensures that each region of the country is represented. Though west coast football viewership is nowhere near that of the Midwest or south east, keeping those viewers tuned in would be beneficial. In a particular year where a conference is unbelievable, it wouldn’t be insane to put three teams in as they could nab the two at large spots. You could still even use the NY6 bowls.
