  1. Hater alert incoming… Bill Peebles: 75% winning percentage at Cathedral…53% winning percentage at Southport/Lawrence Central. Kevin O’Shea: 92% winning percentage at Lafayette Central Catholic…56% winning percentage at Delta/McCutcheon/Attica/North Central/Twin Lakes. Just two examples off the top of my head.
  2. My #14 team has also beaten my #15 team and gave my #5 team all they could handle and is playing with their back up quarterback. Or .500…😉
  3. Southport is in 6A purgatory. 1. A small 6a public school in Marion County… 2. Large Burmese population (think of what Muda states about Frankfort)… 3. Zero tradition… 4. A sectional with zero chance of advancement… 5. A coaching revolving door… Growth and expansion, affluence and homes popping up everywhere. Some folks will never get it.
  4. Sure… Rent free.
  5. IU is the second best team in the Big Ten right now IMO.
  6. Irish about to put it on some folks for the next few weeks…style points matter when you start 0-2.
  7. I’ve been told citing free and reduced rate makes you an outcast… Whiteland. Give it a few more years.
  8. I’ve got em at 29, BD at 33.
  9. Once again, can’t really argue. Not ranking a sub .500 team though. Lets take Merrillville out of it for now. BD/Zionsville straight up…who ya got?
  10. I guess I could see that. Gotta win games though. I see one win left on BD’s schedule.
  11. LOL. I stated that Michigan was development U on the defensive side of the ball and cited Mason Graham and Kenneth Grant’s high school recruiting rankings in relation to their NFL draft selection… Compared it to Curry and you got all butt hurt. Curry is a next level talent for sure but doesn’t change the facts. You really should seek out therapy with the amount of attempted “gotcha” posts you swing and miss on because of your dislike for me.
  12. Why’d Riley go for the jugular with 2 minutes to go knowing his defense was pourous and Illinois had three timeouts? Arrogant and dumb.
  13. He had one helluva game. All he’s gotta do to disprove my original point is be a top 5 pick. Man, you love attempting to revise history.
  14. Eh, the usual. Strength of schedule, margin of victory, quality wins.
  15. Full transparency, I have the aforementioned teams ranked 24-27, lol.
  16. Zero quality wins but two opportunities coming up.
  17. Liked this idea last week. Will share some thoughts. 1. Brownsburg has now been a part of one of the highest scoring games in the state this year (55-47 over Avon) and the lowest (14-10 over Westfield). What does this tell us? Brownsburg can win games in multiple fashion, but more importantly, what does it say about Westfield? They were blown out by Carmel , but could play with Brownsburg for 4 quarters. Was their game against Carmel just an off night? Did we narrow 6A down to Carmel and Brownsburg prematurely? 2. Speaking of Carmel, other than the Trinity blemish, they have been laying it on people. But Trinity laid it on them. 3. Looks like a typical Eric Moore outfit at CG. Trojans lost a couple of key players, but put it on who I consider a pretty solid LC squad. 4. I was cautioned by @PHJIrish that I was writing off Cathedral too early and it appears he was right, especially the offense. Reading his recap, it seems like the Irish really faced some adversity last night. A big pretty 3 weeks ahead for them. 5. Not sure what to make of the HCC after the top two. We know Noblesville is in the basement but teams 3-7 could go in any direction. HSE beats Avon but loses to Fishers and Zionsville down their starting QB. Maybe the element of surprise elevated the Royals through the win last week and now there is film on the news signal caller that Zionsville was able to exploit? Just spit balling. 6. Lafayette Jeff and Merrillville continue to roll and are looking to change the narrative as they have been coined as regular season paper tigers recently. Is this the year one of them makes it down state? 7. What to make of Fort Wayne? Dwenger seems to be the only state title contender, but Homestead, Northrop, and Carroll seem to be fairly equal. 8. Warren escapes Pike after giving up a 16 point lead in the fourth quarter. Pike scored on the last play of regulation and got the two point conversion to force overtime and then appeared to score on a fourth and goal from the 10 in overtime but the refs ruled it incomplete…which allowed the Warriors to kick the game winning field goal. I am still not sure how good this Warren team is but the next three weeks will tell us.
  18. Got em at 31. Next three weeks (CN and CG) should reveal a lot. Teams 17-32 separated by razor thin margins IMO.
