  1. The Creek at FC just as last year's one point game. The Creek likely a bit undersized and youthful in many positions. Gillin and Scott coached teams are likely to find some offense. It is defense where game will be decided.

BTW, wondered how bad Greensburg would look. Wow...........heading out at half with score 42-0, asked cuz if you are Greensburg coaches, what do you say at halftime. He responded, "Let's leave it all on the field."

  2. Give Martinsville credit, they played the right game against the right team in Plainfield on a rainy night. Plainfield likes to throw vertical and could not in that weather. Another head scratcher year for Artesians with getting shellacked on their own field by Greenwood, then edging DC at home. Martinsville likes to run with Shrake, a less vertical team than in the past. Lost many multi-year starters from last season.

Can check out some games here if you want:

  3. Cuz must be sadistic. Wants to go see the Creek welcoming Honda. So, I will be there. Hoping for a mercifully quick game to get home early.

Also, on October 1st, was on the way back from Newport that night and before could get out of Cincy was nearly wrecked by a large, dark hilljacked Dodge trying to pass vehicles in the backed up exit lane before crossing the out of bounds. would estimate speed in excess of 90. Did not see any signs of clown art, so ruled out the Klown off a weekend bender.

What in the world are you talking about?!?! While we are proud of every team that comes through the program, and even more happy when they get to lift a sectional trophy...that 2004 SR squad was 8-5 and hardly "best team ever" material.

Maybe it was 2008 that there was hysteria from Southridge posters.

  5. Appreciated Brownstown having an awesome, fearsome crowd in 2004 sectional that seemed like many had been tailgating since the night before, getting rowdy. Tri-West was air raiding over everyone that championship season. I recall the Huntingburg crowd touting their best team ever on this board before semi and would punish the Braves.

During the Corso days, I watched a Osbourne led Nebraska team drop 63 on Indiana in Btown.  It happens....

Sorry nothing to do with the conversation...just an old man flashback!!  It was the number you chose to use!!!

An example back then if one had been arguing for a running clock mercy rule in NCAA during the era of  I-option offense. Did not the U refer to the Husker 3-3-5 D as "prehistoric" in their game prep for the 84 Orange Bowl against that invincible Nebraska team?

  7.  I have come to accept that likely we are just fortunate to have a crew to officiate so the game can be played. If they seem to not stand out negatively, that is a major plus. High school on down, it is passion only, just as stringers used to be. Best to just thank them for putting in the effort of showing up and trying. A lot of car miles with gas so expensive.
