Only have 4 seniors starting. Quarterback, guard, linebacker, and safety. Several seniors in the defensive line rotation, though.
At 1-3, this group had a lot to learn about playing hard and needed to improve their mental toughness. They've grown up a lot the last few weeks. I doubt it's enough to legitimately compete with the Irish on Friday, but 8 weeks ago, I didn't think they'd win the sectional either.
FWIW, two junior OL and one sophomore OL are getting legit FBS looks.
This NP team reminds me of the a young 2019 Center Grove team that started 1-4, that included a butt kicking by NP🙂, and went on to state finals that ended in a lost to Carmel. Don't know if NP in the next couple of years can turn it into the success CG had, but should be Interesting to see what the do.

Like I said the hatred is obvious. Very difficult post to read. Not sure what you are speaking of the first example (JV quarter limit).
The 2nd doesn't IHSAA give referee's to Officiate HS games. Not sure how I tied into this, but okay.
As stated in the Bylaws any IHSAA licensed Official can referee a game, that can be a parent, alumni or other. I believe just because you can do it does not make it right.

I understand the rules and they make complete sense, but it should be 25% of the game/snaps rather than quarters. 6 out of 153 plays. Please.... CG was really butt hurt about losing their JV game that they had to dig into this. Sad. Take the L. Sorry you didn't have an undefeated season. Scoreboard doesn't lie. #LetTheKidsPlay

I am sure they get it and aware of your hatred for the team they support. doubt they would lose their mind with a loss (at least most of the regulars I see on here).
It is not hatred and I have nothing against Irish athletes/students. I have had a few fiends that have attended Cathedral. I have a dislike to the attitude / way cathedral chooses to run it's athletics programs. I will give two examples one recent and one in the past.
First Cathedral believes that if they don't believe in a rule that they don't have to follow it and if caught breaking the rule there should be no consequences. Confirmed be a so called coach on this form (JV quarter limit).
The second example comes from my playing days when Cathodal hired alumni to Referee there basketball games. Can you image looking up and seeing FastpacedO or Footballking16 referring against you. May be they can be unbiased. hmmm

It not necessary backlash if some one post a different opinion than what you believe

I have no problem with Cathedral playing in 6A and actually would prefer to see them in 6A. But at the same time, they shouldn't be forced to petition up nor receive the backlash they do on boards like these for playing where the IHSAA places them. It's silly.
As for actual backlash as in some one applying that you take drugs if they disagree with you opinion is just part of social media.

Sorry for using you, just trying to make a point. This was a funny post by the way. 😂
2 hours ago, FastpacedO said:So are you saying NP will beat Cathedral 21-0? Not sure what you mean. BTW the Cathedral vs Brebeuf game was 38-7 prior to subbing, Brebeuf scored 14 points in the 4th qtr against 2nd and 3rd string defense.
😂 always helping the helpless. I could see someone predicting a win by a FG or something but a 3 TWow just wow! win. w
Maybe my post should have said I wish NP wins buy 3 touchdowns because it would be hilarious to watch Irish fans lose their mind.

Gotta score 3 TD's to win by 3 TD's. Think they'd need to play this game 2-3 times for that to happen
Brebeuf scored 21 pts on Cathedral why not NP

I think New Palestine wins by three touchdowns.

Just heard Center Grove's coach Moore say the Columbus North game will probably be the most difficult of the season.

Does anyone know if there are other coaches do pregame interviews?

I can tell you without hesitation most if not all Cathedral fans and players want to get back in 6A as quickly as possible, but they can only do what IHSAA rules say they can do. What sucks is I think we are still stuck in 5A next year due to Covid measures which extended the current SSF one more year.
I thought a school could request to play up any year but you are saying that schools can only request to play up in the SSF window?

So what is everyone's opinion on how many points is considered running up the score? Last weeks high game was Tri 79 Knightstown 0 and the week before Hobart 72 Griffith 10 is this a example of running up the score?
-
Ben Davis: 56 Tech: 7
Well, there’s not much to say about Ben Davis vs Tech. Ben Davis wins big
Center Grove: 42 Columbus North: 7
I don’t see how Columbus North can move the ball in this game Center Grove should win big
Brownsburg: 28 Carmel: 21
I’m torn on who to pick in this game I think Brownsburg has a better defense but Carmel with Osbourn at the helm has a very dangerous passing game. I think I will go with Brownsburg in this one but wouldn’t be surprised if Carmel wins
Lawrence north: 21 Lawrence central: 17
Lawrence north vs. Lawrence central is going to be one heck of the battle. I think Lawrence central has some speed and talent, but Lawrence North is just an all-around better team.

In all seriousness, what happened with all the out of state games this year? Only one? What caused that?
My guess would be the because of the s... show Cathedral choses to put on.

So the 2020 offense that managed just 6 offensive points / one touchdown against Center Grove is the greatest offense in Cathedral history. Hmmm 🤔

I love how everyone seems to have much more confidence in Cathedral than their OWN posters...
Though in reality, I bet they are just trying to drum up excitement for their contests each week. Maybe if they convince themselves that the other team will make it competitive they feel like they get their money's worth? Much less boring that way.
Maybe they should Invite Deestroying back to drum up some excitement. The last Cathedral game he was at he post a YouTube video that has over 760,000 Views and over 1700 comments

2 TDs, 2 PATs, and 2 FGs for Harrison? Or a missed PAT on 3 TDs? Either way, that would be interesting as Harrison's only attempted two FGs all season long ... and is 1 for 2. PATs on the other other hand are 46 for 46 across two kickers.
To be honest I don't follow Harrison and I was thinking it would be close game and decided by a mistake and happen to chose a missed PAT do to bad whether. Cool stats by the way, thanks for the knowledge. Just curious do you know how many 2pt conversion Harrison has attempted / made?

Not surprising to me that the topic of field conditions is still happening since as of yesterday, October was the fourth wettest month in Indianapolis history and I am guessing the rest of state is the same or worst.

Interesting tidbit...
Ben Davis and Southport have played each other off and on since 1937. Southport has always led the series. Tonight, BD can tie the series for the first time. It's currently 28-27-2 Southport. Incidentally, the Giants have won 14 straight and 19 of 20 from the Cards. BD has not lost to Southport since 1980.
Thanks to Jim Pich, Marion County's Football Brain for this one!
Love fun facts like this. Thanks

Sorry I'm new to GD so please forgive me that this is off topic but it looks like @Irishman is the GD police and decides what is valid and not valid to post. I would like like to post about the topic of national exposure but I know it's off topic for this thread so I thought about creating a new thread but I saw the post that said the game between center grove and cathedral is off limits so I am a little confuse on what I can post and not get in trouble/put in time.

My predictions are on to low side base on the chance of rain and temperature with the exception of the CG game where they have no need to pass and BD because they are playing an 0-9 Southport.
Carmel 28 Avon 7
Brownsburg 17 Pike 7
Ben Davis 48 Southport 0
Lawrence North 17 North Central 7
Warren 21 Lawrence Central 7
Center Grove 49 Franklin Central 7
