  1. I just started getting notifications that the gridiron website is not secure. I have never seen that before. What is the problem?

  3. Teens have taken not social distancing to the extreme. They have Covid parties. https://people.com/health/alabama-teens-throw-coronavirus-themed-parties-with-payout-reward-for-anyone-who-gets-infected/
  4. This was announced on Fort Wayne Local news. From what I understand, It was stated that high schools can still have their own band contests, but they will not be sponsored by the state agency. So it seems like the state has washed its hands of any responsibility if an outbreak happened at an event. https://wpta21.com/2020/07/16/issma-cancels-competitive-marching-band-season/#:~:text=FORT WAYNE%2C Ind.&text="The ISSMA Executive Committee has,Band events have been cancelled.”
  5. The SC governor just shut down all summer programs for athletes. He is warning that fall sports are in jeopardy. Please be careful and do it right up there.

  7. The way kids hit in the past would get them thrown out of the game today: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xHfnZq1LCUE
  8. I wrote earlier that I think Luers may see a different 2A than the past.
  9. Or maybe it was a calculated statement to bring the situation into the public eye?
  10. Does anyone know why Luers was not at the SAC Media Day?
  11. This came out from the IHSAA yesterday. No mention of Luers. http://www.ihsaa.org/Portals/0/ihsaa/documents/news media/2018-19/062419.pdf
  12. Luers was moved down from 3A to 2A due to enrollment. The current IHSAA sectional assignments still have Luers in 2A
  13. I read on a tweet that the new ISHAA success factor rules have resulted in Luers remaining in 3A. can someone confirm this?
  14. Much depends on the talent they have and will have, along with the willingness to learn and grow. Correct me if I am wrong, but the 1999 state champion team struggled during the regular season due to youth. It was the first varsity year for Anthony Spencer and the Great Eight.
  15. Luers back in 2A, but they may find it much more competitive than the past.
  16. Now two upset saints fans our suing to force Goodell to use that rule: https://www.foxnews.com/sports/new-orleans-ticketholders-sue-nfl-over-call-in-nfc-championship-game
  17. Years ago, money for Luers field was raised by such things as bingo. Donations have helped with some improvements over the years (the track, for example), but the care of the field turf has always been done by a volunteer group of Luers Dads. Some nostalgia may be involved. A major capital campaign has been going for a number of years now to improve the school building. Field turf is probably low priority. However, if a donor wanted to donate for just turf, they won't turn that person down
  18. The Bishop of a diocese has the final say in all church matters and church property.
  19. Luers is a parochial school. In the end, they answer to the Bishop
