Heard Both Elkhart and Goshen have started interviews. I know Elkhart was wanting to get a jump on everyone else who is looking for a head coach. Elkhart has a number of teaching openings which will help.

WawaseeFan22 doesn't paint a very positive picture of the Wawasee Administration. Isn't the A.D. a former player?

I would think schools like Wawasee, Goshen, Elkhart would have more resources (athletes, facilities, money, coaching and teaching salary) than Fairfield.

Matt Thacker at Fairfield had done a good job turning that program in to a winner and would be a good idea for Wawasee, Elkhart or Goshen to consider him for their openings.

How does a Warsaw team play their worst game of the season against what I am told is their biggest rival? Was that the same issue when Wawasee beat Riley and when they played a close game against Northridge?

I only saw them play once against Concord who beat them badly, but I heard the 2nd half of the season Wawasee was much improved and even beat a 8-1 South Bend Riley team along with playing Warsaw and Northridge to 1 score losses. Have heard the future is bright for football in Syracuse.

I have heard there is a big push at Goshen for Kids to just play 1 sport and play it year round. I know that has been a big part of their soccer success.

Ringer would be a good choice. What about Tuggle from Northwood? He has offers from just about every team in the top 20 and has verbally committed to #1 and 2 time champ Georgia!!

With Goshen it is my understanding that Coach Wogomon was allowed to bring in his own staff. I looked up his staff at Goshen and he had Logan, Greensides, Cotton, Stringfellow and a few others who I think were with him at Northridge but I may be wrong.

What are the biggest issues facing whoever Elkhart and Goshen select as their new head football coaches?

I heard there are a few players living in the Goshen District but attending either Northwood or Northridge. We have some of that in Elkhart with kids going to Concord and Northridge

I looked and Goshen's enrollment has actually increased to the point they are getting close to 6A. I know Fairfield has also seen an increase as well.

Both Goshen High School and Elkhart High School have Football Head Coaching Positions Open.

I really thought Goshen was lucky to get Tom and with his history of turning a program into a winner like he did at Northridge was just what Goshen needed. Does this have anything to do with the new A.D. who wasn't the one who hired Tom?

Saw a Tweet by Channel 46 Sports former All State Player and long time Goshen Assistant Coach Steve Swihart passed away. I remember coach Swihart as being a very good defensive coach in the Redskins successful years. Always wonder why Goshen never made him head coach after Park retired. RIP Coach Swihart.

I don't fault Northwood at all for turning in the violation to Northridge. I do find it concerning that they wait till the day before the sectional final to do it. If you have that information share it with the Northridge administration as soon as you have it.

There is a lot here to digest. From reading the post the Northridge QB was suspended because of a video Northwood had of him making a bad decision this summer and Video wasn't made public until the day before the game? When I got home from the Penn game I watched the tape delay on TV and they just said the QB and another player were suspended.

Northwood vs. Northridge game is interesting because 2 good teams with contrasting styles. Northridge is just what Northwood struggle with in a team with a strong O-line/running game and a physical defense. Likewise Northridge struggles with teams like Northwood with speed and a dynamic passing game. 2 great teams and should be a good game. Winning the turnover margin will be the key. This games shows how strong the NLC is as neither of these teams were top 2 in the conference.

Big Sectional Finals week for the NLC. Warsaw vs. Penn Northridge vs. Northwood Rematch Concord vs. Mishawaka Rematch. Would love to see Warsaw beat Penn showing them the strength of the NLC.

I thought the Warsaw vs. Wawasee game was a big rival game? Just saying surprised you say Warsaw was so flat in a rivalry game.

Not surprised Wawasee beat Riley. Wawasee is vastly improved. They lost one score games to both Warsaw and Northridge.

Congrats to Wawasee on beating a 8-1 S.B. Riley team Friday. 2nd half of the season has shown big improvements by the Warriors. They must have played well against Warsaw and Northridge the first time as each game were only 7 point losses. Can Wawasee take the next step and knock of Northridge? Maybe catch the Raiders looking ahead to Northwood?

Which QB did Goshen Play? I know the freshman they were starting I heard is out for the season and when they played Concord they alternated QBs and threw almost every play.
