Big Transfer news in Elkhart.
Tayshon Bardo announced on X that he has committed to Elkhart leaving Penn.
Tayshon is a 4 star recruit who is a Wisconsin recruit.
Elkhart has
hit the transfers hard the last couple of years.
What is everyone hearing coming out of summer camps?
Not hearing much from Elkhart unlike last year.
Wondering how the Lions will stack up against Concord and Northridge
With this new rule will assistant coaches now be valued for their ability to recruit as well as their ability to coach like college coaches are? I know we have a good recruiter here at Elkhart
Have seen a few transfers coming in to Elkhart and expecting a few more. Mostly kids from Goshen and South Bend.
Last year we had 2 transfers from Mishawaka that helped greatly.
Here at Elkhart we have benefitted greatly from transfers. Some of our best football players this past season came from outside of Elkhart although a couple of them had to wait a week to be eligible.
Yes it is true now that Warsaw is in the state championship game every school in the NLC has made at least 1 trip to Indy.
The only conference who can make that claim.
Goshen has won it twice and Northwood and Plymouth once.
Coach Sharpe is a stand up quality guy. Sorry to see he wasn't able to have more success on the field. I know he brought in a number of assistants that were old Jimtown connections. This will be a highly sought after job that plays in a very competitive conference.
Looking forward to it. Hopefully Elkhart can clean up the mistakes that have been keeping them from reaching the level of play to match their talent.
This is as talented an Elkhart team sense the Kurth years.
Great win for Plymouth. Looks like the new coach has them rolling.
Not surprised Wawasee won, but surprised by how much.
Elkhart vs. Penn this week for the lead in the NIC. Both have lost to NLC Teams.
Reminds me of back about 15-20 years ago when Goshen went through the same deal when they had 3 coaches in one season.
If I remember right that team actually was competitive and might have had a winning record.
I talked to some people who were at the Fairfield 55 Goshen 17 game and said the 2nd half Fairfield was running the play clock to the final seconds before snapping the ball, They also played underclassmen the 4th quarter.
