  1. Elkhart probably won't have any problems with their last 2 opponents, but this team has regressed and did not look good against Penn. What is the issue with the O-line. We get a Big Ten recruit transfer in at wideout and a top transfer at QB but we can't take advantage of them as we can't protect. Have to get it fixed before playoffs.
  2. The way Elkhart's defense has been playing and now St. Joe having shown how the O-line can be exploited I don't see this game being very close.
  3. What has happened at Northridge? 3-7 last year and have started 0-6 this year. The new coach's first few years were successful but they have fallen on hard times the last couple of years.
  4. Don't count Warsaw out yet. Last year we wrote them off after loosing to Plymouth and the Tigers ended ups making it to Lucas Oil. Concord's win is impressive. Mishawaka may be the real deal. I hear they had 53 by half this week and actually threw the ball some.
  5. With what Elkhart has returning and the D1 transfers coming in this could be the year for a long run in the playoffs which is something Elkhart has never had. A lot of college recruiting attention. Hearing their junior linebacker is getting SEC looks.
  6. A 4 star Big Ten commit leaving your school is called not losing anything?
  7. Elkhart has also gotten a commitment from a QB from Northwood who is transferring in. Sorry I don't have his name but I think he is a junior.
  8. How did this all become about Dabo?
  9. Hearing that we can expect more transfers coming to Elkhart.
  10. Big Transfer news in Elkhart. Tayshon Bardo announced on X that he has committed to Elkhart leaving Penn. Tayshon is a 4 star recruit who is a Wisconsin recruit. Elkhart has hit the transfers hard the last couple of years.
  11. What is everyone hearing coming out of summer camps? Not hearing much from Elkhart unlike last year. Wondering how the Lions will stack up against Concord and Northridge
  12. With this new rule will assistant coaches now be valued for their ability to recruit as well as their ability to coach like college coaches are? I know we have a good recruiter here at Elkhart
  13. Elkhart has gotten a number of good transfers in from South Bend this year. Having Antwone on staff and his son as a player really helps
  14. Are you saying that because the A.D. came from Goshen the candidate he wants is from Goshen?
  15. Have seen a few transfers coming in to Elkhart and expecting a few more. Mostly kids from Goshen and South Bend. Last year we had 2 transfers from Mishawaka that helped greatly.
  16. Here at Elkhart we have benefitted greatly from transfers. Some of our best football players this past season came from outside of Elkhart although a couple of them had to wait a week to be eligible.
  17. Yes it is true now that Warsaw is in the state championship game every school in the NLC has made at least 1 trip to Indy. The only conference who can make that claim. Goshen has won it twice and Northwood and Plymouth once.
  18. You can add Carmel to the list.
  19. Coach Sharpe is a stand up quality guy. Sorry to see he wasn't able to have more success on the field. I know he brought in a number of assistants that were old Jimtown connections. This will be a highly sought after job that plays in a very competitive conference.
  20. Looking forward to it. Hopefully Elkhart can clean up the mistakes that have been keeping them from reaching the level of play to match their talent. This is as talented an Elkhart team sense the Kurth years.
  21. Saw the stats for the Goshen vs. Wawasee game. Wawasee Defense held Goshen to a total of 31 yards of offense.
  22. Great win for Plymouth. Looks like the new coach has them rolling. Not surprised Wawasee won, but surprised by how much. Elkhart vs. Penn this week for the lead in the NIC. Both have lost to NLC Teams.
  23. I saw on the news where Goshen couldn't even practice Wednesday. Something about not having enough players in school.
  24. Reminds me of back about 15-20 years ago when Goshen went through the same deal when they had 3 coaches in one season. If I remember right that team actually was competitive and might have had a winning record.
  25. That would explain Penn giving up 42 points.
