sorry about any grammar or spelling errors it will not let fix them

Been thinking about this for a while and thought I would throw it out their and see what others people think. I know ihsaa will never use any of my ideas but would love to hear what have to say about them.
First change i would make is to the last week of July. I would make this camp week where schools could have a mini camp. They could hold it during 4 of the 5 days of the week. I Would make Saturday and no contact day so the kids and families could have the last weekend before the season starts to do family stuff. During your camp you can have up to 3 full pads pracites during the 4 days the rest would be pro pads. It would be like the old 2adays we had back in the day. The first Monday in Aug. would be the start of normal football operations The reason for this is to make more fair across the board some since not all schools start at the same time.
2nd change would be to move the start of the games up a week. For example this year Aug 7 would be the scrimmage and Aug 13 would week one. By doing this you would be doing two things one is give 5A and 6A the same amount of games played as the rest of the class, the second thing it would do is give the lower class a bye week. There is a lot ways to this but i think the easiest way is to make the bye week 10 right before the playoffs start.
3rd change would be in the playoffs to seed the teams. I know this is a dead horse that has been beating a lot, but here is my take on doing this. You would give ever team and 1 threw 16 or 32 number. Now that number is not to be used to see who plays each other, I keep that the same as it has been, but to see who get to host the game. In doing this i would also do away from the whole idea of a neutral field let the host school treat it as a home game. I feel you lose a little bit of what make Friday Night Lights great in the playoff because of the whole idea of a neutral site idea the Ihsaa has. Their is had been talk on here about making the regular season mean more and I believe this would be a way good way to make it happen. I know their can be a lot of ways to come up with the rankings but I think the easiest way is to use the sagarin rating. I know it is not perfect but it would be a could place to start with
I know like others i have more changes i would like to see but i want to get other people thoughts on these ideas.

New Pal and CG will no longer be playing each other either. Pretty good source says New Pal dropped CG. I know CG picked up Decatur Central to fill that spot, Not sure who NP filled that week with.
it was only a 2 year deal

Both Perry and Southport are most affected by Roncalli Football. 4 Roncalli feeder schools are in Perry Township. Greenwood, Beech Grove, and Franklin Central are probably the other schools affected.
Center grove as well

I would expect Delp to play more split end, and slot. Thanks for pointing out Evans as well, forgot that he was out with injury also
I can see that with Delp also do not forget about 14 I can not think of his name off the top of my head

I wouldn’t expect Steele’s load to be as heavy next year. He will still get the most carries out of all the backs, but with Weems having a year under his belt now, the load for Steele might be taken down just a bit. Also having Brandon Wheat fully healthy at the wingback position will help.
also might look to throw a touch more. do forget about Delp and Evans

If I am wrong please tell me but Spegal was not at new pal his first 2 years

Look at the recruiting rankings 2019 vs 2020
Huge difference in talent this year vs last. I pointed out that difference and identified a talent gap across the big MIC powers, excluding Carmel.
https://247sports.com/Season/2020-Football/RecruitRankings/?InstitutionGroup=highschool&State=IN
Not a single player from BD or WC in the Indiana Top 50 for Class of 2020. I can guarantee you that has never happened since recruiting rankings were made public. CG had one player in the Top 50. So for the Class of 2020, 3 of the top 4 programs in the state produced 1 player in the states Top 50. Hmmm
In 2019, Indiana produced 6 Four Star recruits In 2020, the state produced 1
There has indeed been a talent drop off. Its clear as day.
CG has player that was on their last year and maybe as a freshman too. the only reason he is not on this year he was hurt most of the year
And far Crowe goes do not quote me on this but I believe he was offered prefered walk on spot to a SEC school

I try and reread all the time but with my dyslexia I miss stuff all the time and I tend to write like I talk, I drove my wife crazy trying to read my letters back in the day on my deployments before ever one had computers with them. But thank you

I lost faith in this award when Russ Yeast did not get it. He was the best player on the field that year but he did not win and I ask then is this a 4 year award or a senior award for best player. With that being said I do think Spegal is the lead to get it, but are we doing his value on this year or all four

Sorry, guess I got my posters mixed up. I'll take the loss.
My point still stands that you get defensive when you make your mind up that folks are discrediting Moore. Both factors (socioeconomics/numbers) and culture CAN be true and I have been steadfast in crediting both...you just choose to focus on one.
I do not know the specifics of what things were like at CG prior to Moore's arrival but I can tell you that the socioeconomics probably were not much different than they are now, but the numbers/enrollment were.
I can tell what is like before coach Moore and yes their was people well off like now. But like now most are hard working people who have good jobs and work hard at them.
As far as the number go. Do not quote on me this because I do not have the excite number but in 1995 their was around 1900 kids in the school I think it broke 2000 97-98 year

I want to once again reiterate: the AVERAGE free and reduced lunch rate statewide in Indiana is 48 PERCENT.
Assuming your bio is correct, you live in an affluent area in which the F/R/L rate is less than HALF of the state average.
Lemme know if you want to job shadow me one day.
do you think family support plays a bigger role then money
I do understand that people need help and I am more and then happen to help people, but their is a lot of good paying jobs out their. I am sure some of the families that are on the F/R.L List are families that the parents or parent good get this jobs they just have to work out in the labor field and not offices job

I actually get “it” more than you realize. It sucks for the specific kid in the example cited but 75 is PLENTY.
Why do you say 75 is PLENTY
I think it is because you are some one that went to a small school and just does not get it. Truth I think there is a diff reason but I can not say on here.
-
I know most teams not in 5 or 6 do not care about 75 dress rule. My big reason for changing this is the fact for most kids this will be a once in a life time experience to dress in a locker room of a nfl team and to be on the field in place like LOS. It would Be something they would talk about for the rest of their lives. So if it just ihsaa being tight with do want spend the money on medals get the the schools that are playing and have them pay for the the numbers you need after 75. I know the grideiron club at cg had paid for them in years past would probably would be willing to do so again

You had 2 chances to prove this statement but failed both times.
True but week 2 is not week 15 big difference and truth be told i do not think new pal would even make to state in 6a
-
I am a little confused if CG was to lose to Carmel we can just blame It the fact that they are double our size.
because in the past when we have lost to Carmel or WC orBD we have just said good game and whet and worked harder because that what good programs do. Not blame it stuff that can not be help.

The IHSAA rule to limit the sidelines to 75 players still sucks.
Yes it does I get it for other sites because locker rooms sizes and such but if you get to state all should get to dress. Also I think it is BS that the players that are not dressing have to buy a ticket to get in the game

It makes it better. A school that ranks 17-32 winning the state championship is a once in a decade occurrence. And we all know that enrollment is, by far, the main reason.
From 2008 to 2018 Cg a team that is your 17 to 32 numbers 2 state titles one runner up and several more final 4s
-
With this move how many schools are now playing football. If we are under the 320 number do think their is any chance they go back to 5 class
-
30 is dressed we will see if he plays

sorry not a cop their it would not let me edit the las comment

CG puts in the dagger with 6 seconds left in the 1st half..
CG - 24
CE - 0
6 seconds until half.
that was the first TD of the game.. CE defense has played well overall only giving up a TD and a FG.
I think your clock operator needs some help
new year new ideas and some old ones

Both those Friday’s now are being used as inter squad games and the next one is scrimmage si the kids are already in the heat. But a fix to that is move games times back to 730 give it. A little more time to cool down
