How do you handle schools that have participation rates above 50%?

ok the participation percentage was just a way to get to a number to add to the over all number of kids playing  after the Aug 1 count.  so if any kids joined after you would have them counted. You can even not use and just go with a set number across the board of 5 or 10 or 7,

CG will be better next year

They will have a first team All State QB running the show.  Moore will continue to open up the passing game utilizing Jackson's big arm and a stable of fleet receivers.  Trojans will break in a few new running backs to replace Steele

On defense, the states all time highest recruited athlete Caden Curry returns to wreak havoc as a senior    Plenty of returning juniors and lots of underclassmen ready to step up.

The falloff will come in 2022

I do not see a fall off in 2022 Jv and freshman team undefeated and most games had a  running clock by 3rd quarter.  Middle school team have some studs in them and the JRT went undefeated and won state

  3. here is a crazy idea i had for reclassification

Aug 1 ever school turns in the number of kids playing from 12 to 9. Let say school A had 156 total kids.  after you take that number you divided it by the number of males in the school. Lets say 2500 kids and 1250 are male.  You take 156 divided by 1250 and find the percent of kids playing football.  this would give the percent of males playing at 12%.  then you add 12 to the total number of players so if any new kids that might want to play still can and you all ready have a number for them.

my crazy head came up with for a few reason i felt it would be the most fair why for this reason

you have a P/s with 2800 kids in it and 1200 males.  your number of player in the program 97, that is 8% of males playing football

you have a P/P with 1200 kids say 700 male and you have 120 kids in the program that is 17% of kids playing football

aslo you have a P/s with 3200 kids 1600 males and 100 kids in the program  that is 6%.

I think  basing you 1-6 classification  number of kids total playing and not enrollment might be a better way of doing it, i know this a crazy idea and my say i have them all the time some times crazy ideas work they just might need a little help from others

That's not completely accurate.  With vouchers there are some folks that can make it work for a similar cost that it cost for my kid to attend an out-of-district school.  One of my kids attends public school in a different district than where we live and we pay a differential for that to happen ... and when my youngest follows him, we'll have to also pay that differential again.

i forget about the vouchers thank your for reminded me about that

Nearly 2/3’s of Cathedral’s enrollment is on some kind of financial aid and I’m guessing that’s on the low end in comparison to other P/P’s statewide. Plenty of single parent kids going to P/P’s.

Open enrollment allows you to attend any public school you want. Before, you attended your local high school or paid to go to a private school. Open enrollment ended that ideology.

i know the rule on open enrollment,  i might have not made it clear,  what i was trying to say.   it is no cost to go from P/S to P/S but to go to P/P you have to phony up some cash

    financial aid i see

  6. I want to apologize to Columbus North I was wrong and misinterpreted what I read in an article.  Also not know how CN had done tickets all year.  After I got the email about tickets and what I thought I read in a earlier article I jump the gun on what I thought was going on.  I was hope to be able to take my son to the game.  With him not being on the 75 man roster he was hoping to be able to go because he want to be able to support his teammates.  Again I am sorry for implying some that was not their.

A CG fan cry afoul when they kept around 80% of the tickets for themselves for our game?!?  There are some great people down in CG, but some are just complete knuckleheads that have no clue what the hell they're talk about.

With it being a CG home game why would we not keep 80% of the tickets. If you want more home games build your own stadium.

How has Center Grove handled tickets?  Down here in EVV it's been pretty limited attendance all year at 250 per side.

Up until cathedral it was 25% capacity parents of the football team, band, cheerleaders, and dance team got two tickets if a kids parents where divorced then they get four tickets.  After that they would go on sale to students and generally Pulic.  Now for cathedral it was push up to 50% with the governor placeing us in phase 5 of the Covid reopening plan. The ticket for everone mention above it push to 4 tickets each.  Not sure on total number of people at games but do know they sold out of them ever game. I do know it helps the Ray Skillman Stadium hold a lot of people

No. Players, coaches, cheerleaders, band members and their families. My understanding is that each kid on the football team, cheerleading team, and band get two tickets for family and the seniors sometimes get more than that so more of their family can come. The tickets have never been made public because those affiliated with Columbus North or Columbus East football, cheerleading, or band end up taking all of the tickets for the home side. There’s no conspiracy here.

It’s also my understanding that both schools (North and East) have been given guidelines on the number of tickets from the school corporation based on the direction of the local health department.

The only reason I keep ask questions is because I curious on how they and other schools handle fans for the season
