Should IPS sell the football field to Cathedral I do not if this is even possible. I would think it would be better on both side if they could

I was curious to what others opinions on this is. In my opinion itis a yes if your school coach runs this system and has it at all levels I believe kids get use to that style of play. So when you play a team that is the old 3 yards and a cloud of dust mind set. They have issues with the more physical part and pound of ever play getting hit at full speed

I thought this was kind of interesting and cool on the zone on channel 8 they where doing there pregame tailgate spot and the guy ask info of the kids standing there what Cg football meet in you have not heard about or did not know. The kid’s responds, who I say is about 5 or 6 grade was Hard + Dedication = every thing.

I had seen that WC was charge $ 8.00 for tickets, and the only way you can get them is on line. How much is your school charging and how many school raised their price and going online only too.

I hope. They've been working hard this offseason after not having any offseason program last year due to COVID (like everyone else in Marion County, mind you).
No one had an offseason program

As you know there aren't many HCC "fans" on this forum.
Here's my 2 cents worth:
Avon at 5.5 I think is too low. They have a talented soph coming in at QB. I think o/u 7.5 is more accurate.
Brownsburg at 8.5? Meh. Hart is missing something in his program. I don't know what it is. I'd guess they would be closer to 6.5.
Westfield is a beast. They may well run the table in conference. I'd put them at 11.5.
i know this is off topic but i was just had a thought when check this out, what do you think if the MIC and HCC did some like the Big Ten and ACC does in basketball, say week two one team from the MIC is paired with one form HCC.

There has been a lot talk on here about what it takes to build a great program. I know ever one has their opinion this subject but one fact that most i believe will agree on is that you need a good youth program, from coaching to parents and even the high school coach and his players being around builds the future. I know most but not all that CG and Coach Moore does for and at the youth level. Here is a few things.
Run the Basic Off/Def the high school does.
Coach Moore has a camp he buts on with the 2 threw 6 grades, u might have seen a picture of said game on here from a different topic.
Players and Coach Moore will out at the Bantam fields during the week and on Saturday when they can.
The helmets look just the the varsity do white with a stipe in the middle and number on one side.
One thing my kids thought was cool was there number they had where paired up with a player on varsity, like last year you had a 2 for Jackson a 91 for Curry and 30 for Steele and so on.

Center Grove Defense o/u.
Numbers below are 2020 averages so the question is will this year’s CG defense be good as or better than last year.Avg. Rushing yards allowed p/g: 45
Avg. Passing yards allowed p/g: 122
Avg. Points allowed p/g: 7.6In truth I think better. The weaks part of last year defense was the secondary, not to say they where not good but over all on the defensive that was the weaks position group. This years team looks to have a hell of a secondary a front four that would have any small college in the state worried about them let alone high school. The only kind of question is the Linebackers they will be all first year varsity starters. So I feel at worst they would be an Avg CG linebacker group and as shown over the years that is still very good group

I thought our chain guys were all old farts like me. Aren't you still reasonably young?
I did not do any last year. I do not if I missed the sign up email or it was done differently with COVID but the 3years before I did all my sons middle school and freshman games I could, and I did a few my oldest son when he was at the same age. Never done a varsity game
I guess you can 44 reasonably young, but as they say it is not the years but the miles

A cool thing to do and you can learn a something about a team’s culture and coaching is work the chains. You hear everything form how the kids talk each other to their coach’s and coach’s to the kids. Also is interested to do at middle school and jv and freshman games. The ref will talk to you to, and you can learn a thing or two by talking with them.

Agreed, Jon. Best part is that Coach Moore attends and talks to both teams after the game. I also love how many high school players attend. If you haven't yet make sure to check out a home game for the Jr. Trojans. In the famous words of John "Bluto" Blutarsky..."don't cost nothin".
Lol bet me to it

I move to the Center Grove area a little over 11 years ago. My fist experience with CG football culture was when my 6th grade daughter ask me if I would take her to a middle school football game. I was shocked I did not know that my daughter even knew what a football look like. So I find out that it is the two middle school in CG school corporation playing each other. It is called North vs Central game and it is played at the high school. So I arrive at the game and can't believe the crowd size 2000+ and the atmosphere was great. Had so much fun that I decided I should try a high school game. CG Friday nights football took it to another level and I was hooked. For past 10 years I have attended almost all home and away games. This is just one example that makes up CG culture.
A few other things about cultural with this game. The week of the game the high players are jokingly taking trash to each other about when played in the game and about this years game. During the game the varsity players will stand on the side lines of the school they play for a cheer them on just if pro’s come back to their college they played at. And here is a big thing in my opinion Coach Moore is their and after the game he both 8 grade teams come together and talks to them. The biggest thing he teams them is that they are no longer two teams but on family

It is June 7th. Let kids be kids for once. Better off playing sandlot football.
This is not 1950 where they can ride or walk across small little town and meet up with each other. I would say for some of the kids this is only time they will really see each other.
-
I had a crazy idea, before the kickoff the coach can tell the referee that if the ball is inside the 10 we will take it as a touchback at the 20. If the coach says play it out ic can be returned out of the endzone if the returner chose to do so.
-
I have always felt the more class you add the more you water it down. I kind of wish they would go back to five class. But I do like it with six.

Center Grove a southern school? Not to us.
As we drive up I-69/ 37 (in non-construction times) we mark the Stones Crossing/37 intersection as the "hey, we've made it to Indy" point. LOL
For most people I know once we are south of Big Ben road off of 37/69 we are in northern Kentucky
so we are south of the state lol

Do you think they will in time follow college as you can far catch in side the 10 I think and get it at the 25
-
I agree with you PIF should be spot foul

How is it a player safety issues when you can run from then the one yard line but not a foot deep
Punt and fair catch

If the returner calls for a fair catch but the ball hits the ground first then he catches it on the bounce is the play dead there. or is the play still live and say returner fumbles the ball and punt team recover the ball does that stand.
