Team Season and Game Statistics
Trojan67 replied to RegionFBFan's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
I was a volunteer for 9 years, took a year off, came back mid-season last year. I was responsible for all of the film, uploading, and sending the film off when I had more responsibilities. With our new head coach, we transitioned to QwikCuts getting away from Hudl because the cost of Hudl has just been increasing with less features especially in their basic package. During the games, yes, I do it all live. I give all the credit to Statman stats because they really do have a great platform, but coming from the standpoint that you have to use Excel and type everything in, you can easily get behind. I am a big supporter of our program and I have always went in with the mindset that I wanted our athletes and our program to be left in better shape than when I came in. My brother and I built an end zone camera tripod several years ago using our knowledge and we donated everything to the program. When I started doing stats, I was the same way. I am always thinking about what happens when I am not able to do this anymore and really pushed for a stats program that anyone could utilize without having any experience. On game days, I am doing live stats during the game. I am able to run the reports and get those sent off to the media so they have them by the end of the game. By doing this, as well, we could sit down afterwards and discuss things and start planning for the next week. With being a small program, I have also been a big proponent of making sure that the stats are done so when Saturday morning hits, that is one less thing to worry about. This year, I am hoping that we can continue that efficiency with Turbostats. -
Team Season and Game Statistics

I am the statistician at Triton. I started out using Hudl live stats. That feature had a lot of good, but had a lot of problems. Hudl refused to update this feature and made it difficult are forcing small programs who may not have the funding to buy their Assist package or go in manually to do stats on their own. I made the executive decision to go to other programs just to give media what they wanted on Friday nights and used one of the free programs. It did alright, but it wasn't something that I felt was best for efficiency. I finally landed on Statman. I used it for a couple of seasons and really liked the stats we got from the game. I was able to send reports to the press and then upload everything to Maxpreps. The issue is typing. I didn't have spotters feeding me info and when you only have between 20-35 seconds, you have to be on point. Thankfully, Triton live streams the games so I can go back and fix errors at half and the end, but I have been really trying to find a program that you hit the button like what Hudl live stats did. So this year we decided to go with TurboStats and see if this will be something for the future. -
This hasn't been a thread in a hot minute. Just wondering where all of the INSC people are at. Been following the conference all year and float between this conference and HNAC. Haven't seen much talk on the conference, but think it would be a good time to start talking. Knox at LaVille: Snooze fest. McCoughlin has 600 yards on the ground. Knox by a million. Jimtown at Valley Should be a pretty good game. Jimtown needs some help and needs to clean up the turnovers. Losing to Bremen last week should get some of that Jimmy fire back. Valley just needs to do their thing and let that cow poop from the farm up the road linger in the air to keep Valley rolling because Jimtown will be holding their noses in disgust. Valley 35 Jimtown 14 Glenn at Bremen Bremen is riding high and foaming at the mouth after that huge win against the Jimmies that they want to bring in their other rivals from down the road only to send them big slow boys back to the farm because a Falcoln can't beat a mighty Lion. Green means go and thats what them Lions are going to do. That loss to Triton has set a new fire under dem boys from Bremen. I know they watched that film against Knox and the Lion DC felt he made the right choice to go to Bremen. This is all alleged like Pat McAfee allegedly jumping into that canal because we dont spread rumors on this forum. The Lions roar and gets the dub. Bremen 42 Glenn 28

Maybe they need to make them boys some ham salad sammiches. Think that'll do the trick.

Bremen HC Job Open
Trojan67 replied to Football Guru 25's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
I find it funny that you keep beating around the bush and haven't come out and said what those kids and parents are disgruntled about. When I brought up 2 scenarios, you replied, "Could be." Before that, you made sarcastic remarks when I said, "We will see how it goes." It seems like you have a problem with Barker based on your previous comments and I am just trying to understand why you're being so vague. -

I mean to be honest, that seems like it's a pretty normal number for that amount of kids and parents to be disgruntled. The only issue that has been brought up is simple fact that he is not a Triton employee. It's honestly making think that the disgruntled players you're talking about think that Coach Barker came in and told players that they have to earn their spots regardless of grade they are in. -
Good to know. I just heard that was a possibility, didn't know if would happen.

Bremen HC Job Open
Trojan67 replied to Football Guru 25's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
Let's just get this out of the bag right now. I have a close contact with the Triton program and your rumor mill is absolutely wrong. This is not a mass exodus event of Triton student athletes leaving. -
In all honesty, I didn't know what was going with Leeper, just saw that he had some health issues and was resigning. In the past, there have been people from Bremen stirring the pot about Triton which is why I said what said to Guru. It's more or less irony what I said and what Guru said.
-
I am literally pointing out that you are saying it like you're from Bremen. Not saying that anything is happening at Bremen, but you seem to be acting like that a couple kids and parents mad about the new coach coming in is going to lead to a mass exodus when in all reality it is more like those couple kids will stay because their parents like the small class sizes and the kids can focus more on basketball. That's the reality of who those kids are in all honesty.
-
You say that like a typical person from Bremen like it is going to be a mass exodus.

There was some talk about Barker being hired because he is not a paid teacher or employed by the school. The way I see it, you can't make everyone happy. I'm not sure what those Plymouth assistants were doing with the Plymouth program, just stating what I heard. From them being paid, I couldn't tell you what they are going to be paid, if they will be paid at all. All I know is, the Triton community needs someone who has a little more integrity than the last guy.
-
A lot happening in Bourbon right now. Putting all the past stuff behind and moving forward. Coach Barker is bringing in a couple of assistants from Plymouth and most of the coaching staff from last year stayed on. New strength and conditioning coach is focusing on putting together strength and conditioning plans for athletes in and out of season while also helping athletes out with nutrition that promotes their wellness. Definitely going to be interesting to see how everything plays out with the summer and how the kids respond.

Does Angel Skinner know that you were giving away your prized boat? Or did your next door neighbor's wife complain that it was an eye sore to the HOA and they impounded it? I need a new addition to my house so I can sleep under the stars when I want to lol.

Buddy is now copying and pasting comments and posting them to the page because he is mad. Mine was the first one.

I had 2 bouts with him back in December and earlier this week calling him on his lack of professionalism and integrity. I do think that it is awesome that he does the interviews and give him credit where it is due. The problem is he says that he says he helps athletes with the recruiting process, but doesn't show it. He spouts his mouth off in an attempt to be like Stephen A. Smith and tells people to pull their heads out of the horse's a** when he doesn't like an opinion that is opposite of his. And let's be crystal clear he does this about once a month where he tries to get his monthly interactions all in one night because he thrives on attention. Pretty narcissistic in my eyes. In my eyes, I would steer athletes away from him because he "saves professionalism for those who deserve it." Those are his exact words he told me before he blocked me from the page a couple of nights ago.

Very much so inadvertent whistle. It was a hell of a game, though. Jeff shouldn't be holding their heads down at all. Warsaw seems to be playing at a different level and seems like they are peaking at the right time.
-
I'm just here to read the comments about the botched call in the Warsaw vs Lafayette Jeff game with 3.9 left in the first half.

Can we take a minute and have an honest discussion about North Miami? As Midwestern as it is, I hope they have that ham salad sammich fundraiser next year because dem boys gonna be eating next year with all the experience they will be bringing back.

LaVille at North Judson Rematch of week 2. I don't think that there is going to be anything that slows the Jays down. LaVille plays a tough schedule and I think that will help them. However, playing for the sectional titles at Liberty Field, you can only imagine how that atmosphere is going to be for the home team. Jays 37 LaVille 21 Taylor at Pioneer I don't know much about Taylor and what they bring to the table. All I have heard about them is that they have a really quick hitter in #12. Pioneer's strength in schedule has prepared them and think that this game will be a running clock. Pioneer 48 Taylor 7 Triton at North Miami The week #9 matchup came with a lot of drama. It seemed that no matter the circumstances, Triton didn't have their heads in the game. The last 2 weeks I have seen a Triton team focused on getting that revenge and bringing back the first sectional championship in 6 years to Bourbon. With the Warriors, there is no question that they want to beat the Trojans for the second time in 3 weeks. There is no question that this game is North Miami's to lose. With that being said, I feel that Triton is going to get things going and force North Miami to stop them. Trojans 35 North Miami 29

It will either be the ham salad sammiches or the faint smell cow crap. It'll be one of those 2.

Judson at Culver Jays keep flying by. Judson 60 Cavs 0 Pioneer at Carroll I went back and watched Pioneer's and Carroll's games on IHSAA Network. I know Pioneer is very meticulous on running 3 plays consistently and constantly. At this point, there is no question that offense centers around Rans. Will it be a tough game for both teams? Absolutely! I just think Carroll has more depth and more weapons that it will utilize. Dont sleep on the Panthers though because will be a great game. Carroll 35 Pioneer 28 North Miami at Fremont This is another interesting game that I think people should not sleep on. Fremont has a decently tough schedule that I think is somewhat comparable to the HNAC. Making a 2 hour road trip is tough and stiffness will show. North Miami is tough and is moving on cylinders right now, but I think I am going to go with the upset. Fremont 24 North Miami 23 Southern Wells at Triton Triton should go into this game with the same mentality as last week. Run the ball. There is no question that Triton is looking ahead to next week, but they have to focus on this game first before they can even think about revenge or whoever they play next week. Triton 54 Southern Wells 0

South Newton at Judson Nothing to see here. Another shut out. Judson 70 SN 0 South Central at Culver Not much to say about this game. Tossup game with the eventual fate of facing Judson. Culver 24 SC 18 Pioneer at Caston Caston has had a tough run and has done some really good things this season. They should be a really competitive team next year. Unfortunately, Pioneer takes this one. Pioneer 42 Caston 7 Taylor at Winamac Winamac should be happy for the progress they have made this year. I know there was a lot of uncertainty, but they really fought hard all season. Hopefully things will start picking up for them. I'm not sure what Taylor brings, but did see they upset Sheridan a few weeks back. Give me Winamac 28 Taylor 21. Blackhawk at North Miami Blackhawk may need to get some of North Miami's famous ham salad sandwiches for the long road back to Fort Wayne. NM 56 Blackhawk 0 Southwood at Triton Watched a couple of games of Southwood and noticed that they seemed to be a stingy team. Pretty young, just don't have enough athletes. Triton should be mentally prepared this week as it was evident that their minds were still on the situation of the events from earlier in the week. The good part is you can get a better deal on popcorn at Triton over those ham salad sandwiches they were advertising and selling at North Miami. Triton 49 Southwood 0

I was just joking on how it smelt. I didnt try it lol. I have just never been to a school where they sold ham salad sandwiches at the concession stand 🤣🤣🤣

Tears: North Miami advertising and selling ham salad sandwiches at their concession stand this past Friday. Smelt as bad as that faint odor of that freshly sprayed cow crap on the fields around the school.
