  1. At Triton, we used an older program that can only be used on a Windows XP computer. I can't remember the name off the top of my head, but it is still pretty widely used by a lot of the old time staticians. I wanted to use Statman last year, but since I had someone with things set up, it made sense to use that program. I am officially going to use Statman this year. Seems pretty user friendly, but it takes a lot to get things setup.
  2. Last year in the HNAC, 3 coaches stepped down (Triton, LaVille, and Culver) from head coach who was also the AD.
  3. I think overall it is going to be really competitive and honestly probably the most competitive that the conference will ever be once Knox and LaVille depart at the end of the school year. The road is a long road, but it's going to be a fun year and cannot wait to see how the year plays out.
  4. So, if your mad about the NLC not wanting to blow things up, then does the NIC tell the SB schools that they have to go independent or find a new conference? Because that is what I think people are trying to say without saying it.
  5. Wasn't New Prairie wanting the competition? Thought that was one of the main reasons why they went to the NIC?
  6. I said this before in a past post, but I think there needs to be restructuring within the conferences to make everyone more or less happy. Here is my take on the whole situation. Penn, Mishawaka, New Prairie, Warsaw, Goshen, Concord, and Elkhart Plymouth, Wawasee, Northridge, Northwood, Adams, Riley, Washington Just my take, Penn going independent just increases driving. Restructuring the conferences is a better solution. You have 7 in the conference, allows you to schedule 3 non conference opponents. Is it a perfect solution? No. But it is a happy medium.
  7. Based on what we know, invites have been sent out. The only problem is the TRC teams that have been reached out to has the bylaw that schools looking to leave must wait 2 years before leaving. If the departing school leaves after 1 year, the departing school must pay each TRC school $1000. If the departing school refuses to pay, they will be voted out effective immediately. This is what happened to Valley. So, I am sure that the schools who were invited, could be hesitant to accept the invite. Will be interesting to see what happens and if this puts a hold on teams leaving.
  8. CMA will not be joining a conference anytime soon unless they decide to join the new conference. I think they like having the flexibility in their schedule as an independent. People keep bringing it up, but it the only thing realistic is the new conference. As far as your other post about the conferences with the Fort Wayne schools, good luck on trying to convince SB Schools to drive 90 miles both ways. I can see them maybe exploring region teams, but Fort Wayne is super unrealistic.
  9. Definitely agree. You either need to stack the NIC with formidable opponents or they need to become independent.
  10. I like this idea better. NIC: Penn, Elkhart, Warsaw, Goshen, Concord, New Prairie, Mishawaka Northwood, NLC: Plymouth, Adams, Riley, Washington, Clay, Wawasee, Marian, St. Joe New Conference: Bremen, Jimtown, Knox,Glenn, LaVille, Valley, Rochester To me this makes more sense. NIC gets a decent mixture of competition, NLC gets weaker, but still gets decent matchups and good competition, and the new conference gets solid matchups and competition and pretty equal competition across the board.
