Any one on here have the inside scoop on whats going on with NV head coaching position?

As a coach I don't enjoy the rules and it is for reasons stated prior that they arent enforced universally. It isnt just week to week but ive been to many 6a games and it seems that those rules don't exsist at that level. Consistency is key weather its enforcing the uniform rules or the rules of the game.

Quote interesting. Being the coach at the smallest one a school I would definitely like to see something like this. The difference in 160 to 283 is far mar significant than the difference in say 700 and 1000 for a larger school. As a small school the pool of kids you have is significantly less than that of larger schools. I think the question is when does the size of the pool no longer matter. Even if I was able to get say 70 percent of the boys in the school to come out for football that is 56 boys assuming a 50/50 split of boys and girls in enrollment(I’m not sure what our split is). That number would still be less kids than the current roster at south putnam. At the higher classes this just isn’t the same issue. As a coach I believe that it is our job to recruit the hallways and get kids interested in the sport but when the kids just aren’t there it doesn’t matter how successful you are at recruiting the hallways ways. I don’t expect to see a change but I do believe the two classes that should be capped are the top and bottom class.

I think in the more populated areas ( Indy, Ft. wayne, Evansville, and the region) already see some movement and with the rule change this just becomes easier. As I've gained more experience being a head coach I have come to know that recruiting has definitely been going on even before this rule. I just think a lot of the moves have just been kept underwraps but I would imagine we will see some more attention on social media surrounding the topic. I'd venture to say that the rich will continue to get richer and kudos to those coaches that benfit from building strong programs that people respect and kids want to be apart of.

South Putnam has beaten a big physical Riverton Parke team, Sheridan and Milan all running some form of Wing t, Single wing, or flexbone type offenses. They should be prepared for Pioneers offense. That isnt to say pioneer might not be the best at running the offense. Should be a great game but got to go with the Eagles in this one. The Eagles have a combination of speed and size that is not common at the 1a level. I have seen most of thier games on film and even against the likes of North View they didnt look under sized. The scariest part of it is the roster is loaded with Jrs so if they happen to lose I'd look for them to be back at Lucas Oil next year as well.

If im not mistaken at least two contributors of that RP team were at SV last year. One of which is Lane Griffin who I think is one of the top lineman in the conference.

How Familiar are you with South's Schedule? I'm not sure FC would more than two games on their schedule. I have come to the conclusion that you sir should win the ultimate troll award. Congratulations!

Anyone catch the south Putnam vs Fc score?

Is this honestly a joke? @ThePrince Have you happened to take a look at south Putnam's schedule? They have only played one 1A team all year. I think reality will hit you about as hard as it will hit us this week. Have a Blessed day.

Bear I have apricated the kind words you've spoken on here about Attica this season. I think a lot of your takes this year have been really well thought out and on point but this sir is not one of those. SP added 3a speedway perennial power Lutheran as their non conference games. They just as SV can not control the teams in their conference or how competitive those teams are. If you flip the RP and SP schedules they will not look similar in results. The only common opponents are Cloverdale and Covington. South beat these teams 91-20 and RP 73-65. These are not similar teams and I believe the scoreboard will show this. To be completely transparent I graduated from South Putnam( I'll always be an eagle) and I realize that makes me biased but I stand by my claim that these teams are not on the same level. Enjoyed listening to all the chatter this season guys!
