How cool would a new stadium right in the lake in Indiana? Boats can drive up like UT, casinos right there. @Coach Nowlincan ride his bicycle to games. This concept is really intriguing. I enjoy the bears, not a fan like coach and others, but I can definitely get behind that move.

I think KS plays their bowl game in Myrtle Beach Friday at like 11 am. TPMS was talking about it yesterday

I was thinking Gilroy was the name, but couldn’t remember if that was the correct name for this stadium or if Gilroy is/was the name of the stadium in Chicago that is used by multiple schools.

Those that say Illinois politicians with their hands out most, not so fast my friend. I remember my dad telling me that an old HS stadium in Gary cost almost, if not more, to construct than the initial cost to build Lambeau in GB. A lot had to do with lake county (Indiana) and Gary politicians lining their pockets. Something to the extent of charging exorbitant amounts of money to get sand from the dunes and to use the toll road.

Would imagine they’d still call them the “Chicago” Bears, but wonder the location in NWI. Just how far from Chicago they’d be. The far NWI region is really pretty land-locked as is.

I’m not familiar with the WRC or the teams around that area. I have read Coach King is a HOF and folks around all parts like certain coaches, etc. etc. what makes Coach King “legendary”? No shade or negativity intended with this post. Thank you.

In the MWL, besides when they played each other, would TL and WL have more competition in this league than the current HC? In the MWS, competition wise, this is no bueno for CC, right? And CC is Central Catholic, not Clinton Central?

Thank you. I will look further for the validity of the claims I read about. It had something to do with “shunning” Notre Dame b/c of Catholic religion. This goes back to the late 1800, early 1900s. Was the B1G once called The Western Conference? Something along those lines.

@Bobrefcould you help us as to the why Notre Dame was shunned from conferences way back when?
