  1. Hater. You're killing me right now. They played for a national title last year, they're better this year, and you still wanna think they're not relevant. It's okay to hate, just be rational in your thoughts.
  2. Although Notre Dame is probably winning the whole thing next season, I really hope they are ranked #12 and Alabama is ranked #11. That would be classic. Questions for @Irishman. Is the Top 12 agreement based on the CFPS Top 12 or the AP Top 12? The AP will be objective. The CFPS could rank ND #13 even if they are really #1.
  3. I still don't understand why everyone cares so much. If they don't want to join a conference, why make them? I think the real issue here is that the conference championship needs to be done away with. Everyone is afraid to play that "extra" game. At the end of the day, if they don't want Notre Dame in, they don't have to let them in......like this year. So why all the fuss? Let Notre Dame do what they want to do. @Footballking16 is utterly irate over this. Why I don't know. His Hoosiers are sitting pretty at the moment.
  4. Wow, you're really mad. Watch a Christmas movie.
  5. It's sad really. Ball State plays every year knowing they have no shot at a title. Saint Francis and Marian have a shot at a title but the Cardinals don't? This needs to be fixed. I'd LOVE to watch a tournament involving FCS teams only. Pipe dream.
  6. The thirty thousand Georgia fans who dumped over $1000/per ticket and made the trip to South Bend might disagree. Everyone wants to play Notre Dame. Everyone wants to visit the campus. Everyone wants to see the golden helmets take the field. I mean, it's Notre Dame. Nothing more to be said. Everything you say points to your hatred. It's obvious. Now I'll ask you. What did Notre Dame do to you to have all this animosity toward them?
  7. This really isn't even about Tulane, James Madison, or Miami. Alabama, ESPN, and CFPS is the problem here. Bama didn't earn they're right. Sure they upset Georgia earlier in the season. But then the Bulldogs woke up and manhandled the Tide when it mattered. Couple that with an embarrassing loss to FSU, the real embarrassment here is Alabama. Notre Dame is a muffled snap and a miracle catch by a Miami player from an undefeated season and a #1 or #2 seed. How close is any other team in the field to a #1 seed? Ohio State, sure.
  8. I couldn't agree more. There needs to be a Group of Five champion, just like there is a D1, D2, D3, and NAIA champion. The Group of Five are the only programs with NO chance to ever be called champions. So why waste two spots in the field when a legitimate title contender like Notre Dame is sitting at home. Eight million pissed off fans plus the millions out there who are objective, so that we can watch Tulane and James Madison get curb stomped.
  9. Lol, my feeling are hurt. Doesn't matter. The new deal puts Notre Dame in the field if they are ranked in the Top 12. Conference not necessary. Quit wasting your energy, they'll never join a conference. They're Notre Dame.
  10. Yet Notre Dame has their victories vacated because a couple of smart kids who are there for an actual education gets caught cheating. Riddle that. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter if @Komets2727 favorite teams won a title or not. He has nothing to do with the programs he "roots" for.
  11. I can live with this point of view. How bout this. I'll only run the asterisk into the ground if someone other than IU wins the title.
  12. *
  13. The best teams should play. They need to do away with this Group of Five nonsense. If Notre Dame has to prove themselves to the committee, then so should the Group of Five. Two games that are just a waste of time.
  14. I thought I read somewhere that she was hired back and was given a raise.
  15. Can someone riddle me why there's no consequence for a long time Michigan staffer having a long term affair with a married man who happens to be the head football coach? Maybe I'm missing something. So far, from the outside looking in, it screams pretty ugly.
  16. The grass isn't always greener somewhere else. I think Cignetti's staff has a tremendous amount of respect for him and it's hard to see them anywhere else when they're being compensated seven figures. This is great, I love to see this.
  17. I wouldn't say I lost. Transitive property is used everyday in this business. Not only by posters on this forum, but everyone else from analysts to media types. As I said before, Notre Dame has a knack for knocking teams out of the Top 25. Pittsburgh for instance. If it weren't for the Irish, they'd be Top 25. So that's one team Notre Dame doesn't get credit for. Happens every year. Also notice that Notre Dame knocked out the Arkansas coach. Wasn't even an SEC team that did it. It was Notre Dame. I respect your opinion, but it does sound a bit biased. When guys like Nick Saban (Notre Dame should be in), and Brooks Austin of Georgia (Notre Dame is Top 3), that's not something to take lightly. Let me ask you this, and be honest. Is Notre Dame one of the best teams in the country? Yes or no?
  18. Curious. What's your point?
  19. They wont. They're just threats. Notre Dame is too important to the college football world. Look what happened when Georgia came to South Bend. they brought 20-30 thousand fans with them paying well over $1000/per ticket. Everyone wants to play Notre Dame. Except the SEC this post season. ESPN saved the SEC from another potential team that would put them out. I thought it would have been classic to see Michigan, Ohio State, then Notre Dame/Indiana win the title for the third year in a row. All right up here in the good ol' midwest. ESPN and the SEC took care of business to eliminate the Irish. And the injury bug may end up being Indiana's doom. What could have been.
  20. Notre Dame went turf..........I wanna say about 10 years ago. I was fortunate to be one of the first to see it completed.
  21. What did Notre Dame ever do to you? I'm curious.
  22. For some reason, the comparison to 1993 doesn't make sense to anyone but Notre Dame fans. Notre Dame vs everyone else. Love it.
  23. Literally laughing my a@# off. Thanks 🙂
  24. Man, thanks!
  25. The rest of the league struggled against Arkansas, lol. These guys are just here to ruffle Irish feathers, they really are smarter than this. *
