  1. Looks good. Switch Carroll and DC. Drop Penn to #20. Replace Mishawaka with Dwenger. That being said, I think the north is a toss up with East Noble, Dwenger, and Mishawaka.
  2. Sounds like you need to go all in on Southport.
  3. I'd be all in if I weren't 2 hours away. That will be a good game. I was at Leo last night. The lions hung tough for a quarter, but it was the Dwenger show after that. This will be a fun class to follow moving forward.
  4. Pike certainly isn't a BAD team, right? They just play in a brutal area of the state? Presuming they had something coming back from last season, you had them ranked pretty high in your preseason poll. There's been talk on here about Zionsville being a good team. You've got Warren Central at what, #12? Rodney holds Ben Davis in decently high regard. I don't think there's any harm in saying CP beat Pike by a wider margin by those three. Anyway, I'm out. Going to my fourth game this year..........Dwenger/Leo.
  5. Lol. Pretty sure you're referring to Carroll losing to Dwenger. We'll find out more about the Saints in the next couple of weeks. But yeah, I can be reasonable here. Although Dwenger is a pretty good team with a REALLY good defense, Carroll takes a hit on "overall body of work." Good job Temp, that's why I enjoy debating with you. I'd have Westfield as a 7 point favorite over Carroll if I had money on the line. Happy? Probably not. "Westfield would roll Carroll."
  6. Westfield 35, Homestead 0 4 full quarters Carroll 35, Homestead 0 Halftime
  7. You said "show me," and shortly after the North puts together a string of pretty good wins. Now all these wins are an "anomaly?" I once said you're the least biased person on the forum, but that stock is going down. To no fault of your own, you just naturally gravitate toward the area you're from like we all do. Offended? Nah. I've got bigger fish to fry. I do however enjoy the debate. If 21-17 midway through the 3rd with CG stuck in their own territory 3/4 of the third quarter isn't a close game, then maybe I should just quit posting. Ironic that you say I'm the one who's offended, lol. My "close game" and "harder hitting team" comments caused pandemonium from around the donut. True north has 3 pretty good teams compared to Indy's 14, I get that. No harm, no foul. I just find it utterly amusing that you guys get so "offended" when I suggest that a few teams up here can hang with your big boys. Crown Point or Carroll would give Fishers a good game, I'm sorry, it's just my opinion. I think common sense tells you that if Westfield can somehow beat Carmel, then they are the likely candidate to represent the north based on past history. When I look at body of work over the course of THIS season, I see Crown Point or Carroll giving Westfield a run for their money. Sorry Penn guys, I'm not sold yet, rooting for you though. Now, to answer your hypothetical question from earlier: If Carroll, Crown Point, Homestead, Westfield, Noblesville, and HSE were in the same sectional: Carroll 25% Crown Point 25% Hamilton SE 25% Homestead 0% Noblesville 0% Westfield 25% No moral victories, Carroll and CP are playing to win. Anything less is a disappointment. Now I'll go hide under a blanket and wait for your laughing emoji.
  8. Sorry about that, somehow I had Carroll on the brain. But yes, it was Crown Point vs Fishers. That's what I meant. Not upset about you having an opinion. I just don't know how you put a team with two blowout losses ahead of Crown Point, that's all. You've explained yourself, but any reasonable person on a committee is probably going to side with me on this and put Crown Point at #3 and Fishers at #4.
  9. Lol, thanks Rodney. You get it. If I don't think someone on here has credibility, I'm sure as hell not going write them a long winded note. I have no issues with @FastpacedO, we just have a difference in opinion is all. He naturally gravitates to Indy, I naturally gravitate to the NE. But the whole "Fishers WOULD beat Carroll" thing is a bit dumfounding. Maybe because Sagarin calls them a 7 point favorite? I dunno. Does being a 7 point favorite warrant a "would" or a "should?" I think Brownsburg, Carmel, New Pal, & Cathedral "would" beat Carroll. After that, all bets are off. I might favor Westfield over Carroll, but Fishers? Nah, I've got that game dead even. I'll go hide in a locker now, don't wanna get beat up by some of the Indy guys. Maybe offer them a beer when they come in Rodney.
  10. Key word here is "to." Replace that with "from," and I can see your point. People tend to read fast and misinterpret things on this forum. I've done it myself.
  11. "That's a lot to say to someone who doesn't have any credibility." Not sure where the confusion lies. He said I lost credibility, and that was my response.
  12. Good grief Temp, not sure who's posts you've been reading. When did I say anyone other than Carmel would come out of 6A North? Why are you asking me about a scenario that's not going to happen? Five quarters huh? Good Lord. Every team in the state that lost by 8 points or less at some point in the season would ask for a 5th quarter. I don't think that just applies to the teams I root for, does it? Let's get to the game first, in person. Then I'll tell you who hit harder. I've only been to a couple of games this season. Carroll and Warsaw had the loud popping hits that stood out.
  13. That's a lot to say to someone who doesn't have any credibility. I do love your passion. Good luck to your team this weekend.
  14. The enrollment number listed is for male and female students in grades 9, 10 and 11 as submitted to the Indiana Department of Education and the IHSAA in September 2000. You had me going there for a minute, but I really didn't think CG was that small when he took over. Thought I'd look into it.
  15. They jumped 487 kids from 1999-2000? Wow. 2000 Student Enrollment: 1987 Grade 9 Enrollment: 569 Grade 10 Enrollment: 507 Grade 11 Enrollment: 441 Grade 12 Enrollment: 470 Total White Enrollment: 1965 Total Black Enrollment: 2 Total Hispanic Enrollment: 6 Total Asian Enrollment: 13 Total Indian Enrollment: 1 Grades in Center Grove High School 9th Grade(29%) 11th Grade(22%) 10th Grade(26%) 12th Grade(24%) Races in Center Grove High School White (99%) Other (1%) White ● Value: 98.9 Read more: https://www.city-data.com/school/center-grove-high-school-in.html Very deserving, great program.
  16. I get that. I wanna say CG was in the range of 2300-2400 when he took over, same size as Homestead. Kudos to him, great coach, great program. It all starts at the top.
  17. I'm impressed with what Eric Moore has done at Center Grove. There are a lot of coaches out there who'd love to have 2900 students like he does, but nonetheless, he's done an impressive job. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY more impressed with Center Grove than I am Carmel, Warren Central, and Ben Davis. Speaking of Harding, what if they had 3000 kids..........holy s***.
  18. No, you're right. Big enrollment schools and programs with no boundaries fill up trophy cases. Thump that chest! Thump that chest! Thump that chest!
  19. I much prefer "pound for pound" conversations, which pretty much excludes all of Suburban Indy with the exception of New Pal. So there ya go. Indy, arguably, has the best pound for pound program in the state. Of course Adams Central up here in the northeastern part of the state might have something to say about that.
  20. You're not going to gain Temp's favor with that one. If only the past 25 years count, that puts Michigan as the 14th winningest program in the NCAA. That being said, I think "past 25 years" are for the Johnny-come-lately's who want to be included in the conversation.
  21. You mean all the hardware at the three largest schools in the state? In all fairness, there are 100 current coaches who could win at Carmel, 90 at Ben Davis, 80 at Warren central, and maybe 40 at Penn. Snider and Penn's historical records speak for themselves. Try to discredit them all you want. Penn still has 5 state championships...........not the 11 each the three largest schools have, but still a pretty impressive resume. Snider has 3, could easily be 8 (not including 1981). Could you imagine if Snider had 3500 plus kids? I'm sure were talking 11+ state titles. That's just common sense.
  22. How many head coaches has Carmel had over the past 5 decades? I don't know the answer, but I know it's a lot more than the three Penn's had. You can't argue the success and stability of the Penn program. At Carmel, it's just a bunch of different coaches who want an opportunity to win a state championship at a school with 5000 kids. See girls swimming. Comical and embarrassing at the same time.
  23. Hurts to see two teams from the north at the top. I get it.
