  1. God bless brother. You have some deep rooted anger toward Fort Wayne. Presuming they have something you want, otherwise you wouldn't be this angry. Is it the 23 state titles? Is it the vast amount of players they send D1 and to the NFL? Did Fort Wayne beat your favorite team recently? Let's get to the root cause of this anger.
  2. I get it, 2023 was kind of an outlier since 2017. I guess that's the one year they could claim 6A good. They did get waxed by Cathedral early in the season. Losing to CP by 1 pt showed that they were up there. I put more stock in the later game than i do the earlier one. So yeah, you could say they were good in 2023. I like Penn, just trying to be objective.
  3. Agree. I have Crown Point as the favorite until Penn or Carroll can prove otherwise. I just like where their program is under the helm of Buzea. I guess it's just one Penn poster, so I stand corrected. But hey, I can understand his outlook considering the condition of the program over the last few years. They haven't been 6A good since 2017. So there's reason to be skeptical.
  4. Meh. Doesn't matter to me if Fort Wayne is 2nd, 3rd, or 4th. Much respect for the region. I'll be rooting for Merrillville this year.
  5. Correct. Luers hasn't won 3A yet. Runner-up last season. Twenty three state titles by six different schools. That's not fantasy, that's reality.
  6. Much admiration for the Penn program. Penn and Snider provided the best playoff rivalry in the state for almost thee decades. Good luck.
  7. Next season's opener at their new stadium. You might see guys like Rod Woodson, Vaughn Dunbar, and Jessie bates. I'm guessing it will be a show. And they play East Noble. No doubt it will be the best atmosphere in the entire state. There just isn't a game this week that really screams "come out and see." But if you're in the area, those are your three choices I think.
  8. The only ones doubting Penn right now are the Penn fans.
  9. Well, being that you like running clocks and utter blowouts, I'd say go for it. If you've never been to a game at Carroll, it might be worth it just to take in the atmosphere. They bring a crowd, great community support, maybe the best facility in the state. The only good game this week will be Snider at North Side. That's a good backyard brawl almost in the heart of Downtown. That should be a good game with North as the slight favorite. All others will be blowouts. Leo at Dekalb pits a 7-1 vs 6-2.
  10. See, this is exactly what I'm talking about. That just shows bias in my opinion. You were the one that got the "transitive property" conversation going a couple of years ago. But if something doesn't fit your narrative that the north stinks, you rebuke it. The North has had some good victories after the "show me" comment. And you're still saying "show me." The bias is showing Temp, sorry, it just is.
  11. All good. But, as @Komets2727 said, reading comprehension here leaves a lot to be desired.
  12. I'm seeing that more and more now adays. In the past, the better teams knew how to get into their opponents head pre-game. Now all teams are pretty much doing it. Miami Hurricanes of the 80's & 90's were a good example of "swagger." I think it's okay for kids to go out, express themselves as long as they're not earning personal fouls, and have fun. I like that vs the business approach where players look like a bunch of robots.
  13. Let the readers know what page to find that on and how many posts to scroll down so that they can see you edited it. I like ya Rodney, kind of a dick move though.
  14. Okay, I'll go now: HSE 14, Carroll 7 (without Carroll top weapon on offense) Westfield 21, HSE 17 Advantage: Even Westfield 35, Homestead 0 Final Carroll 35, Homestead 0 Halftime Advantage: Carroll
  15. I agree with both. Speaking of data, give me some data that points to Westfield beating Carroll head to head.
  16. Quote me where I said that please. Thank you in advance. You get it. Not sure where along the way I said that EN could take on Carmel. Lol, people don't read on here.
  17. I think you do a great job with your rankings. And I once dubbed you as the least biased person on the forum. Every once in awhile you say something that's a very hard lean toward Indy and away from the rest of the state. I get it though. Human nature. You're a Central Indiana guy. I get that I'm a bit biased to the North, but I'm also smart enough to acknowledge that Suburban Indy could probably rumble with any suburban area in the country.
  18. Would it be right if we didn't have something to banter about? I guess we're on the same page. Well Rodney, I'm proud of you for ranking them. Shows that you don't have a disdain for the Northwest.
  19. Just calling it like I see it. Don't worry, I still have an All-Indy Top 10. Well, almost. Crown Point. But I know you guys hate that. I don't mind rolling the dice with Buzea. He's probably one of the top 5 coaches in the state. If saying that Northrop has some of the best athletes in the state on offense (see 247) is propping them up, then I'm guilty. I still have Dwenger as a team on the edge of Top 25. I'm just unsure if they have an offense that can take them all the way. I think it really comes down to Carroll, you and a few other posters are ignoring the facts and doing everything you can to persuade people that there are 15 teams in Indy that are better. I'll take that bet. East Noble is starting to look like a coin flip to me. Although very good, I'm not sure they are as good as what I thought they were originally. We'll find out in sectionals when they take on Dwenger. And I maintain that Adams Central could make a case for "best program in state" without apology.
  20. Agree. I think you read way too much into me saying their offensive weapons would give the best teams in the state fits. Northrop isn't a complete team. End of story.
  21. I've got Northrop competing with anyone in the bottom half of 6A. Sagarin seems to think they are on par with Ben Davis........for whatever that's worth. I see Northrop, like I said early, somewhere between 6-8 in 5A. Probably the same in 4A. For the record
  22. "To put into perspective, I'd have them right underneath Jeff and Merrillville if they were a 5A school." That would put Northrop somewhere between 6-8 in 5A. Not sure where you got "the best of 5A." You apparently took something out of context.
  23. Placing Northrop behind Jeff and Merrillville = No, they couldn't beat Chatard or New Pal. You didn't understand my statement? I agree, Northrop would struggle against the top teams in each of those classes. All this because I said they have a few athletes that would pose a headache for anyone? Geeeeh.
