  1. Wonders how good Alabama or Ohio State would be with this guy at the helm. Really makes you wonder if he's the best coach in all of football. We all know now with 100% certainty that it's not Belichick. And if you're going into battle, does Belichick even make the Top 30?
  2. So bet on IU to cover? You're my new handicapper..............only for college though. Go over to the Notre Dame thread and share your thoughts on the ND/Arkansas game. I'm curious. Maybe they'll have a bit of a letdown after hammering Illinois?
  3. Purdue or Ball State could. What do they have to lose?
  4. Mishawaka is on the cusp, they'll get there I think. Looking forward to hopefully a matchup with them and East Noble/Dwenger.
  5. Now that I can get on board with.
  6. I was impressed with Mishawaka in 2022 & 2023. I felt like they played as well as they possibly could against a better opponent. Hard to find fault in them during those years. Last year East Noble was playing at a very high level during the playoffs. So no shame in losing that game either. I can't speak to there performances prior to that. Or 6 or 7 if he were there ten years. Fifteen years ago, I would have said 9. He'd be down to 6 or 7 with the emergence of programs like Brownsburg or Center Grove.
  7. Warren Central's program is an up and down yoyo. They're still pretty good during the down years due to an enrollment of 3700 kids. No stability there with regard to coaching, just a bunch of natural talent.
  8. Love your take, but in all fairness, it is a 4A program taking on a large 6A program.
  9. Noblesville over Homestead in FW 49-6. The Miller's didn't seem to play very tired that night. The following year Homestead wins in Indy. The examples are endless.
  10. Really? Or are you just f****** around? I wanna know how the Wizard of Rodney really feels.
  11. Well, that's a bad example. Snider's defense had three guys go to Notre Dame, IU, and Delaware, and two went to the University of Indianapolis. So Warren probably isn't scoring 28 on Snider even if the Panthers only had 10 guys. I'm still curious though, does it go both ways? Do you think Snider wins the 2023 game 49-7 if it were in Fort Wayne? Don't look at this as an argument, rather a good debate. I'm not 100% sold on the study, but it was an eye opener. The more I think about it..............a team gets off the bus, what, at least an hour and a half before gametime? An opportunity to wind down, then warm up on the field. I'm just not sure the down time on the bus has much affect anymore, but that's just me. I respect your opinion though.
  12. Warsaw's defense won't improve enough for them to be a factor unfortunately. Concord's win was an eye opener to say the least. I hope Mishawaka is the real deal. Whoever comes out of the North, be it Mishawaka, Dwenger, or East Noble, will be ready to rumble for a state title.
  13. So Snider would have beaten Warren the year before 49-7 if it were in Fort Wayne? I'm telling you Goldrush, I fought tooth and nail on your claim for years. This study is head scratching. Makes no sense to me. But it shows that traveling two hours has no affect.
  14. I would have agreed with you before that study came out. It pretty much reveals zero impact on the game. Explain Snider crushing Warren Central 42-20 in Indy. Then Warren winning in FW 15-0 the following year. Prime example. If you saw that study, you'd agree.
  15. Only two games worth discussing. The other games will be separated by wide margins. Dwenger at Northrop - Northrop could probably make an argument with Carroll for having the best offense in the SAC. No one can make an argument having a defense as good as Dwengers. Defense wins games. Gimmie the Saints 17-10 Snider at Homestead - Neither one of these teams are very good this year by their own standards, but Homestead is better. I think Snider does enough to hang around and make it close, but Homestead ends up taking the game 24-17.
  16. How else is a running football team going to come back and win being down 17 points in the third quarter. Sounds to me like he was playing to win. A punt in that situation is worthless to me.
  17. Snider just seems to beat Luers every year, doesn't seem to matter who's up and who's down. Snider just wins that game. Not a slight on Luers. The Knights could beat Carroll one week, then lose to Snider the next. Just the way it's been for 5 decades.
  18. Good poll Rodney, a little rough on Crown Point though. New Pal vs Concord for the state title.
  19. Maybe HH is the favorite, but something tells me EN, Dwenger, or Mishawaka will show up expecting to win that game. Again, Concord intrigues me. Why didn't WC manhandle the Tigers almost effortlessly like Concord did?
  20. This team is loaded with talent. Chris Ash would be the sole reason this team sits at home during the playoffs. Freeman needs to take this thing over before it's too late. If he's bold enough to tell a guy like Angeli that he's passed up for a transfer, then he should be bold enough to take this defense over. Gotta love how Angeli is killing it over at Syracuse. He might be in the Heisman running if he keeps this up.
  21. Chris Ash wouldn't stand a chance as a high school coach in Indiana. He'd get throttled.
  22. Notre Dame Defense vs New Palestine Offense Advantage: New Pal DC sucks
  23. Us? Hmmm, thinks about when I may have said Luers was "crap". Thinking. Ah hah, you must work for Wane.com
  24. Talent level on the team. Are you saying they must not be very good since they lost to Luers?
  25. Snider and Warsaw were tied with a minute to go in the game. That tells me all I need to know about Warsaw. Their defense can't be that good. Not a slam on either team, but it's just not the year for the Panther or the Tiger.
