  1. This weeks poll: #3 Notre Dame #9 Indiana
  2. 1. Well, it's actually about having the same resources. Socioeconomic factors can really make things complicated. So let's just roll with enrollment size for now. 2. They could certainly make a case. 3. I think if you're looking at Jeff in 2025, they might be above GS or HH. Past decade? No. I can see your point regarding DC. 4. Again, another program that could certainly make a case. Right now I have CG ranked somewhere between 11-15.
  3. The Indy Metro would be a good example. Some of the worst football in the state being played inside the donut, some of the best outside the donut.
  4. Let's say two schools have the same enrollment. School A has 8% of their students who are qualified for a free lunch. At School B, that number is 45%. Does school A have an advantage? We see how Suburban America pretty much dominates everything. Perhaps there's a correlation?
  5. I just know what I saw. Sure, Center Grove won the game, but my heart sure did go out to a few of their kids when they got their bell rung. Great program though, the better team won. All that matters in the end.
  6. Most years Jeff wouldn't make my Top 10, but this team seems a little different, do they not? Chatard could make a case, for sure. Even with Chatard's limited enrollment, something tells me they get some good football players from outside of their system. They also have a better socioeconomic status than Jeff. So I go back and forth with them being Top 10.
  7. Good coach? Yes. Perfect? No.
  8. I have to admit that the Pure Michigan video was funny. The back and forth between you is popcorn worthy to say the least. You're right though about your comment. Saw that side of him when I mentioned Carroll appeared to be the harder hitting team when they played Center Grove.
  9. I don't think so. They're just hard to measure without distinct school boundaries and a massively low free/reduced lunch rate. Like I said, this is more for fun and hard to measure. I could see a lot of different opinions here. I'd love to go into battle with programs like Cathedral and Luers, but this year, those ten plus Brownstown seem to jump off the charts.
  10. Forgot about Brownstown. I'm sure they might fit in somewhere.
  11. This year? Probably not. I think those programs are better pound for pound. If I put Dwenger in there, I'd have to give consideration to Roncalli and Chatard. Polls like these are iffy and warrant several different opinions.
  12. Didn't say he Leonard was incompetent, just saying Angeli would have done the same thing. "Thanks for bailing Leonard out when we couldn't score any points. Now go sit on the bench for a few more games until we need you again."
  13. Thought this one might be kind of fun. Just to clarify, we're basing each program on how strong they are in relation to the size of their school. In other words, what if every school had the same enrollment. This is for 2025 only. 1. New Palestine 2. Adams Central 3. Decatur Central 4. Lafayette Jefferson 5. East Central 6. Heritage Hills 7. East Noble 8. Gibson Southern 9. Westfield 10. Merrillville
  14. Congratulations on your teams hard fought victory last night.
  15. I still like Dwenger and Carroll as the SAC's top two teams. All the stars aligned for Northrop to pull off the upset last night. The Bruins lost to Homestead, who got hammered by Westfield, who got hammered by Carmel. I'll roll with Homestead and Northrop being 5A good for now.
  16. Thanks for the update. Bummer.
  17. Because the ND coaching staff didn't know any better. He was good enough to bail Leonard out of trouble when Riley couldn't move the ball down field, but the coaching staff didn't think he was good enough to be their number one guy. He's lighting it up at Syracuse with 10 TD's vs 2 INT's, and I'm loving every second of it. I've said it twenty times. Leonard never should have happened. That should have been Angeli's team. He was committed to Notre Dame from the beginning and should have gotten his shot.
  18. That gets messy. Where do you put Northrop? They beat Dwenger but lost to Homestead. No thanks. I think Carroll has enough firepower on offense to contend with some of 6A's best. Dwenger has an ELITE 6A defense, but I'd call the offense average 5A.
  19. So is Steve Angeli. Kept saying Riley Leonard wasn't necessary.
  20. At least give us "a little bit."
  21. I like this team. They have a good shot at playing Thanksgiving weekend.
  22. I'd like to see Carroll in that #15 spot. Maybe dump Warren Central down to #16.
  23. Out of Fort Wayne - I deemed the Dwenger/Northrop game over when the Saints went up 18-6. No way were the Bruins coming back against this defense with just one quarter to play. Northrop gets a long kickoff return and Dwenger turns the ball over twice in their own redzone on their next two possession. Saint's had the SAC title in the bag and gave it away. 4A North still goes through East Noble or Dwenger with Mishawaka lurking. I still like East Noble as the norths best option to win all of 4A........anyone who thinks this isn't possible with New Pal out of the way is in a state of denial. Carroll will battle ferociously with Crown Point for the right to play Carmel, but the Greyhounds will probably be a heavy favorite in that game. 5A still belongs to New Pal...........no ifs, ands, or buts. It's a shame we'll never know how this team would do in this year's 6A tournament.
  24. They still are. If you saw the game, you'd see the sequence of events that led to the Northrop victory. Let's not pretend that Northrop is a bad football team. The Bruins will get walloped in 6A, but I would call them a good 5A team.
