  1. For sure. Temp puts a lot of thought into the poll, they'll be somewhere in the Top 25 after Week 1. I think the ceiling for DC is somewhere near #8. You don't just go into 6A your first year and dominate. It just doesn't work like that.
  2. Time will tell, I don't mind being wrong.............no dog in the fight.
  3. Wright's a good coach. Tough call with that schedule. Anyone know how many starters return? Or does it even matter with a guy like Wright and the transfer portal?
  4. I was hesitant, but at the end of the day, I'm not sure there are 25 better teams. Their schedule is utterly brutal. It's like you said, throwing darts right now. All in fun.
  5. Haven't they been saying that for the past two seasons? New coach, I just don't trust Warren. I get what you're saying talent wise. Their play will speak for itself. I say let them work their way up. Cathedral is just, well, Cathedral. Typically a Top Ten program regardless of class every season. I was told New Pal returns 15 starters. You had them pretty high last year, close to that 5 mark. Doesn't 15 starters warrant a Top 10 finish for this program? Not sure how good my source was. I went with the 25 you gave me.
  6. Insert Carroll instead of Valpo (typo on Temp's part). Otherwise, respected his wish to include all MIC and HCC programs and the others he mentioned. This poll is a combination of last year's results + whether a program has trended up, down, or sideways through the past four seasons. 1. Brownsburg 2. Lawrence North 3. Westfield 4. Center Grove 5. Ben Davis 6. Crown Point 7. Hamilton Southeastern 8. Cathedral 9. Fishers 10. New Pal 11. Carmel 12. Pike 13. Lawrence Central 14. Snider 15. Carroll 16. Avon 17, Noblesville 18. Franklin Central 19. Chatard 20. Warren Central 21. Zionsville 22. Merrillville 23. Roncalli 24. East Central 25. North Central
  7. Someone finish the sequence............1, 3, 5, __
  8. Good grief! I've got Pike beating Merrillville and Valpo. Why so down on them?
  9. Color me confused, but aren't there only six teams in the MIC? Pike seems to be trending up. I don't think a 3rd place finish would be far fetched. They could lose to Pike in Week 2 by a touchdown and still be considered a contender.
  10. How do we know Pike will be the 7th best team in the MIC? Hasn't there been a lot of hype surrounding them the past few years?
  11. Same with Carroll vs Center Grove and HSE. The Royals doubled them the last two times out. Carroll fought though, can't deny that.
  12. Lol, can't say your wrong. And Homestead needs to show a pulse against Westfield and Noblesville.
  13. Struggling to count Buzea out, gotta see it to believe it.
  14. At least you acknowledge it.
  15. That being said, it would be irresponsible not to put at least one team from the North ahead of all but one team from the HCC. Right?
  16. Carroll and Crown Point took out the HCC's beloved top dog two of the past three seasons. What's the problem?
  17. I'll have Crown Point in the top five, Snider and Carroll in the top ten, that should ruffle some Indy feathers.
  18. I actually like the idea of kicking it off and letting Temp take it from there. Our polls don't differ a whole lot if anyone is worried. Our discrepancies normally revolve around Crown Point and New Pal.
  19. Fair enough, I'll start the pre-season, you can take it from there.
  20. No, it wouldn't affect the Komets one iota. Just making a point that Fort Wayne is Indiana's hockey city and always has been. Wouldn't mind keeping it that way.
  21. Hope not. The Komets always have and hopefully will always be Indiana's premier hockey team.
  22. Might as well take a stab at it.
  23. At the end of the day, Ralph and Meiners have two of the best programs in the state. What separates them from the best football teams in the state is about 1800 students. Duneland anyone? Not sure how we diverted. Maybe had something to do with a couple of other programs that struggled in the big division for years, mainly do to lower enrollment numbers.............Merrillville and Valpo, two great programs and communities that support them.
