I have decided to change the format in which I present the dynasty rankings at the end of this season. In prior years, I would list all teams that have been included in my Top 100 since 2007. However, the list has grown so large that it has become a difficult read. Therefore, starting this season I am only going to list the Top 100 and will follow that up with state listings. Again, schools compile points by being ranked in the final poll each season. Twenty-five points are awarded just for being in the final poll and points are awarded for a school’s final position in the poll. For instance, a school finishing on the top of the final poll will receive 125 points, a school finishing at the bottom of the poll will receive 26 points. Here is the Top 100 Dynasty Ranking at the conclusion of the 2023 season. Each school is listed by its ranking, last seasons ranking and its total points. I have also included a listing of all Indiana schools that are in the compilation.

It started with a typo. Temp pointed out that the class of 2022 would be football years 2018-2021.
Got it, no problem. Yes, the 2021 state game is played with kids in the class of 2022.

Center Grove played in the last four state title games, they won three of them.
Got that, the illustration only showed 3 state title games though so that leads to my confusion.

“The CG class of 22 went 3-1 in State finals games.”
2021: won state over Westfield
2020: won state over Westfield
2019: lost state to Carmel
2018: lost semi state to Warren
Technical difficulties trying to reply.
This looks like 2-1 in state finals?? Only 3 state games.

This is game is the culmination of my frustration. Keeping Mishawaka on the schedule would not be so frustrating if you have Carmel and at least another quality 6A on the schedule....
But we get Mishawaka on top of Adams, Washington and Riley....This is possibly the worst schedule Penn has played since 98.
I would rather play Carmel, Valpo, Mishawaka and a top Fort Wayne team or Indy area school and go 1-3 in those games then be undefeated and get owned at home in game one of the Sectionals...
We have seen schools send their JV to play teams of similar quality and the IHSAA doesn't punish them, Penn can do the same thing. This opens up 3 additional games a year for Penn to add quality opponents.
I agree, problem is conference. Why don't they go independent?

Penn Drops Carmel in favor of Mishawaka.....
We will be an undefeated paper giant going into sectionals for the foreseeable future.
GAH.

Mishawaka is a quality team !! But you are right, they ain't no Carmel.

Probably the one used in first game 🤣

Checking going out this Friday, after paycheck hits. I'll kind of miss some of those ads though 😞

I’ve spoken as nauseam about that BD/Warren contest as I watched all four quarters.
Also not sure Warren is the best measuring stick to use when comparing elite teams.
You also act like East Central played a schedule in the 200s…they played a top 70 schedule and that doesn’t include Moeller who played in the final four in Ohio’s largest class.
Nearly the equivalent of Snider, who is sitting at 49.
Please stop acting like Snider is getting disrespected. They aren’t.
I've made my points, my opinion. Nothing else for me to see here. Looking forward to 2024 and Temp's pre-season poll 😁

Why would you place Snider over CG? CG and BD played to OT in the semistate...BD kicked a FG near end of regulation to force OT. Are you saying Snider can play even with BD if you believe they should be ranked over CG? CG's schedule was stacked full of very quality teams, many of them out of state. Snider could have matched their record all season long?
Just wanting to understand your rationale.
Snider has a shut down D, so I thinking a Snider & CG matchup could go either way. I would take BD and Brownsburg over Snider. That is my rationale, since they don't play each other we will never know. The only common opponent we can look at is Warren Central, and we all know how those games turned out.

My #2 didn’t crap the bed against a mediocre Homestead squad. They showed out every Friday night this fall.
I guess if you look at that way. Still think the game would be anyone's to win.

This forum is going to obliterate you for having the audacity to place Snider at #6 after winning "a watered down 5A." I'll say this, the Panther defense is THAT good. It would keep them competitive against anyone in the state.
Good poll, thanks for sharing. I'd like to see Brownsburg in that #2 spot though.
I would put Snider above Chatard & CG. I think Luers is overlooked, should be on list if Indy Lutheran is

No days off huh..? Can we at least wait until Monday b4 6a talk? The sophomore n junior class will not leave the cupboard bare..sf always bites Snider at inopportune times..never back to back or chance at a 3 peat..always ss loss..state title..sf regional loss x2 then back to 5a..the team that could compete in 6a graduates n their returning comrades are blessed with reaping the benefits of being sf into 6a..any program that wins 5a n then 6a will go down in history..cathedral seems to be the front runner for this feat..at least Snider is a distant second..
Just looking ahead.

Not sure, but I would have to think Logan is somewhere on the offensive side of the ball. That guy is dynamic
Yea, I'm sure he would be good on the O side as well. D wins games though, so hope he stays on that side as well !! Going to need that in 6A
-
So, with the 2023 season done, I'm thinking about the D starting players coming back next year. Logan, Blakey is all I come up with, are there more?

Congratulations to Uriah Buchanan for winning the Euell Wilson award. That is given out ever year by the Journal Gazette for the outstanding SAC senior football player. The article also mentions per MaxPreps he was the 10th leading rusher last year in Indiana. I wonder if he played most of the games would he be the leading rusher? Not sure what his snap count was, but beating he was in and had his number called approx. 50% of the time.
