Thanks for that link psaboy. Regardless of who your school is, that's a good one to watch, especially if you're a coach. My admiration for what Isaacs has done for high school athletics is off the charts.

No problem, thought it was a great thing to share. Ike and Mike Haley built the Snider "Program" as a model to follow in my opinion. It's amazing I think that Snider has had only (5) head coaches in it's 50+ years of existence.

I think it really depends on what Northwood team shows up. If it’s the team that played on Friday night I don’t see them losing. NP had only lost to Penn after an odd week 1 loss to Laporte and Northwood completely dominated that game. Outside of a late pick 6 in garbage time NP scored 1 TD.
Tuggle is the star but Joziah Edmond, committed to Michigan is almost as good and usually shuts down the opponents best receiver. Other than them it’s basically role players and a decent SR QB in Roeder.
Defensively they’re getting better, teams usually have more success running the ball. Having 2 DBs going to play D1 will make throwing difficult but teams have had success running.

should be a good game. Good luck to both teams!

So Northwood has at least 4 D1 players??

I'm not sure it's sandbagging per se.  Both programs, while having success this season, also have several things that say it's not one of their better seasons.  Both programs have talent and have had performance this season, but it's like putting 7-11 gasoline in your Ferrari ... every time you step on the accelerator at the light, you are hoping for the growl of the engine, but aren't particularly surprised if you you also get a stutter and a backfire.  This one will likely come down to inopportune penalties ... those 3rd and 3s while driving in the opponent's territory that turn into 3rd and 8s that turn into turnover-on-downs after falling a yard short ... and big plays.  I favor LCC on the big plays, but penalties have cut into those for the Knights.

I get gas at 7-11 all the time and my Ferrari runs great.

In 1981, Snider lost to Carmel 27-0 in the state championship. That was a surprise to many after Snider utterly destroyed Hobart at semi-state. If memory serves me correctly, the state championship was a bad weather game. It didn't seem to affect Carmel though. I don't remember any of the details. I was too young.

Vaughn Dunbar was 1986. It took Carmel a miracle to win that game, even with Snider's starting quarterback injured on the sidelines. With a healthy QB, Snider was far and away the best team in the state.

I was at the 1981 game. It was outside at North Central I believe. Don't recall bad weather, other than being cold.

Elkhart is a train wreck. Poor facilities. 2 AD's that are pretty much brain dead. A school board that's pure chaos. A temporary superintendent because they can't find anyone that wants the job. They have 2 regimes within the school system constantly trying to undermine each other when their person isn't the coach.

Interesting, I think the ability to be an adult is declining in our society, quickly.

You could probably ask any of the restaurants/bars downtown to turn the games on. I have asked before and they will usually try to accommodate if the game is on TV. I have watched games at The District Tap, Slippery Noodle, Punch Bowl Social, The Rathskeller (not in the heart of downtown), Kilroys, etc.

You think the bar/restaurant will add the pay per view fee to your bill???

I've often wondered if the act is real or he's a magnificent troll. Fairly certain he now has Merrillville, who won the 5A State Title last week per his proclamation, losing to Snider.

Ha, you can go onto Regions Sport Forum and check it out. The word on that Forum was that the Valpo and Merrillville game was last week was for the 5A State Title.

There is some good billboard material for Snider, If I say so my self.
