Not a great start. It'll be interesting to see how your choices fair this season.

I absolutely have faith in Dwenger, I just like Wayne in an upset.
Really?

Carroll 14 Luers 0
qb change needed

Carroll 7. Luers 0. End of first

Why is everyone so high on Wayne? They lost a ton of talent.
-
Luers looked like they sat a half dozen or so, too. Three very different Qb's took reps and the best arm looks to be the 3rd. Some of the smallest guys I've seen at Luers in a long, long time.

What's his home school? Anyone know? Kid's fun to watch.

Huh?
It's just interesting watching the winding roads people take.

Ledo has a lot of talent. Wish he was playing fr Snider, but I understand why they had to dismiss him for disciplinary reasons. Does he have any college FBS or FCS offers?
Oh????

I think highly successful people think differently than you.
It depends on your definition of success, I suppose. Do we live in a Christian nation? Do we live in a democracy? Can minorities be racist? Depends on who you ask.

The coaching staff says you play where they put you, but there was disappointment in the air.

Awaiting to see who else goes to Wayne. 🙂 🙂

Maybe...but you couldn't tell the difference between June & July about a week ago.
Maybe...but the Luers Coach went to the press when he should have left it up to the IHSAA to make an announcement.
I'm wondering if it was simply reading the rules as they had been originally written versus the rewrite. I suppose we'll never know how much legal was involved or was it simple language.

From the facebook comments, he's raring to go.

A true system of promotion and relegation could work wonders and stop many enrollment-based arguments.
A true system would involve choosing who plays on your team and how much they make. That is precisely NOT the case here.

Whew! I don't owe somebody a million bucks! (And I was right all along)
Did the IHSAA let this drag on too long? Yes.
But as far as I can tell, the Luers 2a vs 3A controversy started when the Luers Head Coach popped off to some local sportsnews website. So maybe he will learn a valuable lesson not to spread rumors.
Um, you don't think the IHSAA was in contact with Luers?

! Oh, the humanity!

IHSAA did the right thing by also implementing the rule change for the fall sports.
If the Luers Coach is too dim to understand the rule, he & his AD should call the IHSAA so they can explain it to him.
Hmm?

I will bet you ONE MILLION DOLLARS that Blitz's tweet from the Luers coach are wrong. The 2-Point Minimum Success Factor rule ONLY applies to programs that are CURRENTLY BUMPED UP TO A HIGHER CLASS AFTER EARNING 6+ POINTS IN THE PREVIOUS CYCLE.
Luers won the 2A State title in 2011 & 2012. That bumped them up to 3A for the 2013-14 cycle. They earned only 2 Points in 13-14 & would have fallen back into 2A except their enrollment had jumped up into the 3A level. So they stayed in 3A due to enrollment for 2015-16 (0 points) & 2017-18 (3 points). For the 2019-20 cycle, they will be in 2A due to enrollment.
Even though Luers earned 3 points in the previous cycle, they can & will drop to 2A because they were in 3A due to enrollment, not due to the Success Factor.
I repeat-- For the 2019-20 cycle, FW Luers will be in 2A due to enrollment.
I'm not sure that is how it is written, but until the IHSAA speaks publicly, who knows? I thought it simply said played in a higher class. I'll look later.

Looks like the IHSAA is in good hands as far as management. 🙂 Now, are there any other teams that went down that need to go back up?
Runngun sleeping easier. 🙂

Coach, this was in another post, looked like it belonged here:
We use the hi-pod lite. After a couple of years we can set it up in 10-15 minutes and tear it down in the same amount of time as well. First time doing it was fairly lengthy, but its been a pretty good system for us. Captures Film to a mini-SD card, need to remember to delete each game before filming the next one to make the upload easier/quicker. I'm fairly tech savvy and that process is easier because of that. Company is great to work with. They quickly replaced a part that was under warranty, had it within a few days. We also had our custodial crew accidentally toss out the tv screen used with it and the company replaced it, but it did not fall under warranty. Also, gave us new sand bags at not extra cost. Hope that helps...

Why does your word benefits get special treatment? Seeking explanation, not argument.
Frankfort is a tremendously difficult place to teach and it had very little to do with the minority children. Some of the children have been blamed for keeping Frankfort in 4A and not playing football (maybe not playing well enough?), but the roster is full of names that I would associate with a home that speaks Spanish.
