Valpo most certainly does not offer Athletic scholarships. They play in the Pioneer league which is an FCS non-scholarship. I am sure the monies offered to these two outstanding young men are based on their academic performance more so than their athletic prowess. Either way, If these two young men pick Valpo they will receive a quality education at a discounted price.

IHSAA will feel a lot of pressure now, but I believe the IHSAA is hellbent on pressing forward.

Mr. Faulkens did say that. I was on the same call. 

I haven't seen this discussed on here or in handouts about game management. Does anyone have the plan on chain gang protocols? Most schools I've seen those guys are in the high risk category. Are they given a bubble? What's the word on this?

Also look no further than the 2A thread for my street info. Seems one Tipton fan thinks they are better than Eastbrook, even with Eastbrook getting a new starting QB from Western.

The GMAC (D2 conference) has postponed the start of football. 1 month, First practice August 28th, first game September 26th.

I have seen some schools looking for varsity crews for this season this week. It seems to be having an effect already. Not a fun time to be an AD.

I do not believe that is up to the conference, but the individual universities. I believe at the moment UIndy is offering both options. 

GLVC just postponed all fall sports to spring.

Sounds like sandbagging to me. Doesn't Tipton only lose a couple of lineman from last year? They have a solid qb with good WR. I know the suspension and injury bug got a lot of their underclassmen. Now they have to contend with the corona bug! There's a lot of confidence surrounding that Mike Tolle Rock that Mr. Badger here doesn't want to get out. 

I think the IHSAA is kicking the can and letting the schools make the call. Someone can correct me if im wrong, but I believe they even put out that if kids are doing online learning from home they are still eligible to participate in sports. That to me is them saying "Hey schools, ball is in your court" if you want to play we will be here to run the tournaments. This is very different to the approach they took during the Boys Basketball tournament. It's going to be an interesting next 8-10 days.

That's not what is being said on the streets. Best team since 2013. There is a lot of excitement with this senior class. 

Let's bump this up. If we are lucky to have football. Tipton thinks they are a favorite in 2A. That would lead me to believe they'd be a favorite in the Hoosier Conference as well. I don't think I buy it.

As for McFadden.... maybe the Saints should look at their own conditioning. He was dead as was the Lutheran DL the last 5 minutes of that game.

I’ve been following this since I was updated on Friday the coach was headed to the hospital. Sometimes we are quickly reminded how fragile life is and as great as this game we celebrate is, it is minuscule in the whole scheme of our time on earth. My thoughts and prayers are for the family and community that they can find comfort in this difficult time now and in the next couple weeks as we approach the holiday season.
